God bless our brothers and sisters in Ukraine.
Standing in Prayer and Support: Today’s Devastating Attacks on Ukraine
Today, our hearts are heavy as we face yet another horrific wave of destruction directed at innocent civilians across Ukraine. Violent strikes targeted Dnipro, striking a busy railway platform crowded with travelers, while another brutal attack tore through the center of Chernihiv during the middle of the day. Precious lives have been stolen, many more are gravely injured, and families have been left broken.
These actions are clear acts of war crimes committed against civilians. Tragically, these atrocities are not isolated events—war crimes against the civilian population in Ukraine happen every single day. Homes, public transit hubs, and city centers continue to be bombarded, putting mothers, fathers, children, and elderly citizens in constant danger.
On behalf of The Salvation Army in Ukraine, we send our deepest prayers, love, and heartfelt thoughts to the victims, the surviving families, and all those suffering in the aftermath of today’s attacks.
As our officers, staff, and volunteers continue working on the ground to provide practical assistance, shelter, and emotional support, we remain committed to serving our communities through the darkest hours.
We invite our global community to join us in prayer:
• For the Families: May God comfort those who are mourning lost loved ones.
• For the Wounded: For rapid healing, relief, and recovery for all injured civilians and children.
• For Emergency Responders: For protection and strength for the first responders risking their lives on the scene.
• For Ukraine: For an end to violence, for justice, and for lasting peace across our land.
"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." — Psalm 34:18
