As a leader driving change, Welcome to Body Brave!

We are a not-for-profit mental health service. We offer an integrative, contemporary approach to self-care, building healthy body image & supporting eating disorder recovery. Body Brave offers workshops, groups, individual support & a safe space to explore and express yourself. Our team includes medical professionals, yoga & meditation teachers, artists, trained CBT & DBT practitioners as well as eating disorder survivors. We believe that true healing includes the mind, body & our emotions.

A hard day doesn’t erase the progress you’ve made. 💙

Recovery isn’t always linear. Some days may feel heavier than others, and that doesn’t mean you’re moving backwards. Every moment of choosing compassion, asking for support, or simply continuing to show up can be part of the journey.

A reminder for today: You can have a hard day and still be making progress. 🌈

📣 Community Event Supporting Body Brave!

We’re excited to share The 6-Minute Memoir: Women Talking, an upcoming storytelling event hosted by Anne Bokma at The Staircase Theatre in Hamilton.

Ten women will take the stage to share true stories in six minutes—an evening celebrating women’s voices, experiences, and the power of storytelling.

💙 While this is not a Body Brave event, all net proceeds will be generously donated to Body Brave to help support accessible eating disorder recovery programs and services.

At Body Brave, we see the courage it takes to begin recovery and the incredible strength it takes to keep going.

Every conversation, every moment of support, every person who chooses to show up for someone struggling can make a difference. And when we hear that someone is healing, growing, and reclaiming their life, we are reminded why this work matters so deeply.

To everyone who has trusted us with their recovery journey: thank you.

To everyone who has supported someone through theirs: you matter more than you know.

There is no greater gift than knowing that, together, we helped someone believe that recovery was possible.
