Today is World Eating Disorders Action Day, a global movement held every year on June 2. This year’s theme - “Stop Stigma, Start Care, Together” - calls on all of us to challenge harmful myths, expand access to support, and build systems of care that truly meet people where they are.

To honour the power of community and lived experience, we asked people what meaningful eating disorder care looks like to them. Their answers remind us that none of us are along when we work together for change.

We’re thankful for the Hamilton Community Foundation’s investment in accessible eating disorder support in our community.

With their support, Hamilton residents experiencing binge eating disorder were able to access free virtual education and in-person groups, offered in partnership with the Hamilton Family Health Team.

This funding helped reduce barriers to care and create more opportunities for people to feel informed, supported, and connected closer to home.

Maybe it’s brave. Maybe it’s worthy. Maybe it’s healing. 💙

What does recovery actually look like?

Recovery Road is a self-guided exhibition by artist Joanna Roselli, featuring 60 pen and ink drawings created during her time in treatment.

Rather than being told what recovery is, visitors are invited to see it — and feel it — through deeply personal work.

This is not just an art show. It’s a space for honesty, reflection, and connection.

Pay-what-you-can Admission. All are welcome.
