✨ Jackie & Don’s Beautiful Elopement ✨

Today was proof that true love doesn’t need a big crowd—just two hearts, a commitment, and a little faith. ❤️

I was incredibly honored to not only officiate Jackie and Don’s wedding, but also to have been Jackie’s spiritual love coach along her journey. From the moment she told me about Don, I had a feeling he was the one. Their love story began online, but what grew between them is the real deal—authentic, unwavering, and beautiful.

With no distractions and no expectations, it was simply Jackie, Don, and me standing together as they promised forever. And honestly, that’s all that mattered. 💍

Watching two souls find each other against all odds reminds me why I love what I do. Their story is living proof that love finds you when the timing is right.

Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Don and Jackie! May your next chapter be filled with laughter, adventure, and endless love. ❤️

✨ Looking for a wedding officiant who creates heartfelt, personalized, and unforgettable ceremonies? Whivh includes our photographer Shelby who will get you photos to you the same day ! Book with me today—I don’t just officiate weddings, I help bring your love story to life. ✨

What does it mean to be “equally yoked”

It means two people being spiritually, morally, and emotionally aligned so they can move through life together in the same direction.

The phrase comes from 2 Corinthians 6:14, where a “yoke” was a wooden beam placed over two oxes to pull together. If one was stronger, stubborn, or going a different direction, the load became painful and unbalanced.

In relationships, it usually means:

• sharing core values,
• similar faith or beliefs,
• similar morals,
• mutual respect,
• and compatible goals for life, love, family, loyalty, and commitment.

Examples of being equally yoked:

• Two people both value honesty, loyalty, and healthy communication.

• Both want commitment and take the relationship seriously.

• Both support each other’s growth instead of pulling each other down.

• Both handle conflict with respect rather than manipulation or cruelty.

• Both have similar views on marriage, children, finances, or faith.

• One person is not constantly carrying all the emotional weight while the other avoids accountability.

Examples of being unequally yoked:

• One wants a peaceful committed relationship while the other plays games or lives recklessly.

• One is trying to heal and grow while the other stays stuck in destructive habits.

• One values faithfulness while the other flirts, lies, or disrespects boundaries.

• One communicates calmly while the other becomes verbally abusive, manipulative, or cruel.

• One partner is emotionally mature and the other refuses responsibility.

The deeper meaning is that love alone is not always enough if two people are pulling life in opposite directions.

A relationship becomes much healthier when both people are aligned in spirit, values, effort, and character.

Before sharing your perspective with friends or loved ones and labeling your partner 'unstable when they aren’t” take a moment to reflect on the narrative you're about to unfold - is it a balanced full truth or a selectively edited version that casts only you in a favorable light?

When someone reacts to genuine worry, uncertainty, pain, or mixed messages, it's not necessarily a sign of toxicity. True love seeks understanding, not judgment.

By being fully honest about the situation, you not only uphold your partner's dignity but also nurture a deeper understanding among those who care about you both.

Let's rise above the urge to present half-truths that might lead others to misconstrue the character of the one you love.
