Kiwanis Homes is moving to a new office location in Hamilton.

As of April 13, 2026, we will be working from 1353 Barton Street East (next door to East Hamilton Radio).

Our current office location will be closed to the public as of April 7, 2026, to facilitate our relocation.

All staff members will be working and available to receive your inquiries by telephone during the week of April 7 through 10.

We apologize for the disruption, but we look forward to welcoming you to our new and fully accessible office space.

The 5th floor is being built on our new 8-storey apartment building at 1518 Upper Wentworth St.

This building will have one floor of underground parking and numerous covered above ground parking stalls. The cost of each individual parking spot is in excess of $100,000. This equates to between 15% and 20% of the entire cost of construction having to be allocated to parking.

Is it any wonder that creating new housing costs so much, when the combination of soft costs (i.e., non-construction costs) and parking, costs nearly as much as the building in which people live.
