Serving on the Board of the Hamilton Foundation for Student Success has been a highly rewarding volunteer experience. On a regular basis, I see how our work removes financial barriers and creates opportunities for students across the HWDSB community to thrive. As a Board member, I’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with inspiring peers and contribute to strategic decisions that make real impact. Last week, we gathered at Allan A. Greenleaf Elementary School to celebrate a truly special milestone - the revitalization of the Kindergarten Outdoor Learning Space.

This inspiring project was made possible thanks to a remarkable $15,000 gift from Kal Tire, whose generosity and belief in the power of outdoor, hands-on learning will make a lasting impact on our youngest students.

This new outdoor classroom is a shining example of what’s possible when community and education come together in support of student success!
