We’re thrilled to start site work to prepare for our latest housing project. When complete, The Marigold will offer the kind of housing that we want for all Nova Scotians - housing that is safe, affordable, permanent, supported, sustainable, and accessible.
The Marigold will sit just below the beautiful community that’s developed at The Sunflower, in Lakeside. Growing more housing 💃🏼💃🏼

Adsum was delighted to have the opportunity to participate in the District 7 Participatory Budget tonight, and to have our project fully funded! It was fantastic to connect with so many community members who care deeply about housing in Halifax. Thank you for hosting this annual gathering and giving the residents of District 7 a direct say in how funds are spent.

Adsum was delighted to host our annual Volunteer Appreciation Brunch earlier this May. It was a wonderful opportunity to come together, share stories, and spend time with the people who help make Adsum such a strong and caring community. Thank you to all our awesome volunteers who continue to show up for each other and the folks in our community.

Adsum recognizes the disproportionate barriers to housing experienced by 2SLGBTQI+ women, youth, and gender-diverse people. We all must work together to provide safe, stable, and affordable housing that is free from any kind of discrimination.

We are preparing to open six more units at The Rose for families experiencing homelessness in the HRM. Hundreds of families across NS could benefit from supportive housing like The Rose. Let’s make it happen!

We’re gonna get louder! Several coworkers including Sophia & Kassandra today started Housing Advocacy Field School. Over the coming months they’ll be learning to use their voices more effectively for housing justice. Count on Adsum to continue to advocate for housing systems rooted in dignity, equity, and community care. We’re grateful to the Centre for Urban Youth Research for leading the way.

We are just ONE WEEK away from GIMME SHELTER. Don’t miss this incredible benefit concert showcasing several of Nova Scotia’s foremost female musicians.

Funds raised from the concert will support Adsum’s ongoing mission to eradicate housing insecurity for women, families, youth, and gender-diverse people across the HRM.
