Marmalade was living off rats and mice in a trucking yard and had already raised at least one litter of kittens. Rescue volunteers finally managed to trap her and brought her to New Hope. She is approximately 2 years old and very friendly, loving and affectionate. She is getting along with the other cats at the shelter and would probably be fine with respectful older children. We don't know how she would be around dogs. Marmalade has been vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250. Greyson was a stray kitten found on the street and came to us through another rescue. He is around 4 months old (estimated birthdate April 30). Greyson is well socialized, very sweet and cuddly, and would likely do well in a home with respectful children, other cats and cat friendly dogs. If the home does not have another pet, he will have to be adopted as a pair with another kitten because young kittens should not grow up as only pets. He has his age appropriate vaccinations but is too young to be neutered and will have to be returned to New Hope for his neuter, microchip and any remaining boosters when he is old enough. Calcifer is a handsome, slender, long legged boy who is almost 2 years old. He was surrendered because his playfulness was stressing out the two senior cats in his home to the point where they were hiding from him. He would do well in a home where there is another younger cat that he can play with. He is used to a quiet home and was a bit overwhelmed when he first arrived at the shelter and was hiding, so he may need a little while to adjust to a new home and show his true personality. According to his previous family, Calcifer loves to play fetch and likes to ride on your shoulder. He is not used to children or dogs, but respectful older children or a calm cat friendly dog might work for him. Calcifer is vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. His adoption fee is $200. Marco and Polo are a bonded pair of brothers who are approximately 10 months old. They were starving strays trapped outside of Cambridge and are currently staying in a foster home in Kitchener. They are extremely sweet, love attention and being brushed, and love to watch TV :) They are fine with other cats and might be able to live with a cat friendly dog. They have not been exposed to children but would likely be fine with them. Marco and Polo have been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Their combined adoption fee is $450. Pluto was born April 29th and was surrendered with his siblings and his mom, Kuni at the beginning of May because their owner was moving. He was raised in a foster home and is now ready for adoption! Pluto is well socialized, sweet and affectionate. He would be a great match for a home with children, cat friendly dogs and other cats. Because of his young age Pluto will have to be adopted as a pair with another kitten unless the home already has another cat or dog. He has his age appropriate vaccinations but is too young to be neutered and will have to be returned to New Hope for his neuter, microchip and any remaining boosters when he is old enough.
