4-H Ontario

4-H Ontario For over a century, 4-H Ontario has built youth into leaders in their communities and positive contributors to the world.

With roots in rural Ontario, 4-H is open to all youth ages 6-21 across the province.

4-H gives youth the chance to learn skills that will help them far beyond their 4-H careers. They learn how to lead, communicate, and build responsibility and confidence. The lessons learned today help shape the leaders of tomorrow.

June is National Indigenous History Month in Canada.

It is a time to reflect, learn, and honour the deep histories, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and MΓ©tis Peoples. These communities have shaped this land for generations and continue to do so with strength, resilience, and wisdom.

Let us continue to learn, reflect and ACT. Because when we act, we listen, take meaningful action, we move forward together on the path toward reconciliation.

πŸ“š Learn: Take time to explore resources that centre Indigenous voices and experiences. The Government of Canada has curated powerful tools and stories here: https://www.rcaanc-cirnac.gc.ca/eng/1621447127773/1621447157184

πŸ“± Engage: Download the Reconciliation: A Starting Point app to deepen your understanding of Indigenous Peoples in Canada, key historical events, and what reconciliation means today. https://www.canada.ca/en/mobile/reconciliation-starting-point.html

🎨 Celebrate: Uplift Indigenous creativity through art, language, music, storytelling, and ceremony and recognize the beauty and strength of Indigenous cultures. Check out the Woodland Cultural Centre for resources: https://woodlandculturalcentre.ca/
Read Stories: https://www.rcaanc-cirnac.gc.ca/eng/1621447127773/1621447157184

🀝 Support: Commit to meaningful action by supporting Indigenous-led businesses, organizations, and initiatives in your local community.

Learning is lifelong. Reconciliation is ongoing. Let’s begin, or continue, our journey together.
