The good news? Prescott County 4-H Association is offering a virtual Financial Fitness Club for all 4-H'ers across Ontario, running from September 10 to October 15!

What you will learn:
💵 Financial literacy basics
🏦 How to read bank statements
💳 Applying for and using credit cards
🧾 Personal Income Taxes and working with the Canada Revenue Agency
🧠 Discovering your financial personality
➕Building a good resume and a covering letter

This club is run be two 4-H volunteers who bring a strong financial background that bring real world experiences along the way!

Your 4-H experience could help support the next step in your agricultural journey!

Thanks to Beef Farmers of Ontario, three $2,000 scholarships are available to eligible 4-H beef club participants currently pursuing post-secondary education in agriculture.

To be eligible, applicants must:
🍀 Have a minimum of five years of experience in a 4-H beef club
🎓 Be currently enrolled in post-secondary education
🌱 Be interested in pursuing a career in agriculture
📝 Submit a 500-word essay about their career plans and how they align with a sustainable future for the beef industry

The Amber Underwood Memorial News Competition invites 4-H youth to interview a volunteer and write a news-style report of up to 500 words about why they choose to give their time to 4-H.

You do not need to be an experienced writer to enter. Bring your curiosity, ask thoughtful questions and share the volunteer’s story in your own words!

Two $250 prizes are available:

🍀 Junior category: Ages 9–14
🍀 Senior category: Ages 15–21
