The effects of naloxone or narcan can wear off before the opioid does, and the person can slip back into overdose - always seek medical attention if someone is experiencing overdose, even after they have been given naloxone. Together we can 💜

Alongside providing harm reduction services and connection to community supports, our outreach team also performs community clean-ups, collects used sharps, and responds to reports of improperly discarded sharps throughout the community. 🧡 Every Child Matters | September 30 🧡

On Orange Shirt Day, North Lambton Community Health Centre joins communities across Canada in honouring the children who were taken from their families and communities and remembering those who never returned home.

September 30 is also the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation—a day to recognize the painful history and ongoing impacts of the residential school system and to honour Survivors, their families, and Indigenous communities.

🧡 Today is a day to:

- Listen to and learn from Indigenous voices and experiences
- Remember the children and families affected by residential schools
- Reflect on the history and ongoing impacts of colonialism
- Consider how we can contribute to reconciliation in our communities

Wearing orange is one way to show that we remember. But reconciliation requires more than a day of recognition—it calls on all of us to continue learning, listening, and taking meaningful action.

We remember. We honour. We learn. We commit to doing better.
