National Indigenous History Month is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the histories, cultures, voices, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples. It is also a meaningful time to reflect on the importance of truth, reconciliation, and consistent action toward a more equitable future.

At YMCA, we continue to deepen our understanding of Indigenous histories, perspectives, and experiences. Through ongoing learning and relationship building, we remain dedicated to fostering spaces where Indigenous voices, cultures, and experiences are honoured and uplifted.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the strength and brilliance of YMCA staff, volunteers, members, participants, donors, and partners who are part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

The YMCA continues to be committed to creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported to be their authentic selves. While progress has been made, there is still important work ahead, and we remain dedicated to advancing equity, belonging, and well-being for all.
