Inspire Youth Afterschool Program

Do you work with a local organization/service club, own a small business, or have meaningful tasks that youth could help with?

Inspire Youth is looking for Forest organizations/service clubs and businesses interested in becoming Community Crew host locations for fall 2026!

Community Crew will give youth ages 12–18 the opportunity to volunteer locally, build practical skills, make community connections, and earn volunteer hours toward their high school diploma. Inspire Youth staff will remain onsite throughout each session to provide supervision and support.

Host locations can offer a one-time Wednesday opportunity or express interest in hosting more than once. Volunteer activities could include organizing supplies, preparing materials, sorting donations, seasonal projects, event preparation, community clean-up, or other safe and age-appropriate tasks.

Help us create meaningful opportunities for local youth to learn, contribute, and feel connected to their community.

Our youth worked hard on their homemade lemonade recipes!

We are competitors in the Big Squeeze Lemonade Competition, Alll funds raised go to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton, who provide mentoring to local youth!

Come on down to our lemonade stand at 59 King St and support a great cause! We are here 11am-3pm. 🍋

We want to hear from local families!

Inspire Youth is working alongside several local organizations that serve children, youth, and families in the Forest area to better understand what programs and supports our community needs.

This short survey will help us learn:

- ‎What types of care and programming families are looking for

- What barriers may make it difficult to participate

- Where gaps may exist in local services

- How organizations can better support children, youth, and caregivers

Your feedback will help guide future programming and connect families with the organization best suited to meet their needs.

The 6th Annual BIG Squeeze is happening this Wednesday, and Inspire Youth is excited to join businesses and organizations across Sarnia-Lambton in raising funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton!

As promised, here are our lemonade stand details!

Join Inspire Youth on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on the front sidewalk of 59 King Street West, Forest for the 6th Annual BIG Squeeze!

We’re excited to pour up some fun, take on the challenge, and raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton and the important mentoring programs they provide for local youth.

Stop by, cool off with some lemonade, say hello, and help us squeeze every last drop of fun and fundraising out of the day!

And now we have to ask… after challenging the Forest community, have any other local businesses or organizations entered The BIG Squeeze yet? 👀🍋 July 29th is the cut off date, you still have time!

Inspire Youth is officially joining the 6th Annual BIG Squeeze and we’re choosing SOUR!

On Wednesday, August 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., we’ll be serving lemonade and raising funds in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sarnia-Lambton and their local youth mentoring programs.
(Did you know BBBS offers mentorship in Forest 👀, AND they are looking for more people to sign up as Bigs? If you didn't, now you do!)

But we don’t want to be the only Forest-area organization joining the fun.

We’re putting out a friendly challenge to our local businesses, community groups, and organizations: who else is ready to step up, register a lemonade stand, and help us show just how much our community supports local youth?

The BIG Squeeze is a chance to get creative, connect with the community, and raise money for an important cause. Stands can include themed lemonade, treats, activities, or anything else that makes your location unique.

So Forest, who’s ready to add their own twist to The BIG Squeeze?
