What an incredible legacy to leave behind!

You can help with Dwayne’s wish!

As many of our members know, Dwayne Kish was an advocate for promoting ATVing as a safe and enjoyable sport for future generations to come. It was one of his last wishes that in lieu of flowers donations be made to KATVA for the purpose of expanding the CASI youth ATV safety training program. Thanks to the generosity of Dwayne and his family we will be using the donations to start a legacy fund in Dwayne’s name to help fund the CASI youth ATV safety training program for the children and grandchildren of our devoted members.

We will spend the next few months working on a plan to distribute the funds to benefit students who take the course starting in spring 2022. We will also look at ways to continue building the legacy fund so that we can train as many youth as possible over the years to come. With your help we will honour Dwayne’s last wishes and continue Dwayne Kish’s legacy.

We're sad to announce that we have lost one of our CASI safety instructors today, Jim Laporte. Jim has been a volunteer safety trainer for Kawartha ATV Association for the past 5 years. As a grandfather of 5 he was a strong advocate for training youth coming into the sport. He will be a sadly missed by his family, friends and former students. RIP Jim.
