Treat yourself as temperatures cool down and find some comforts in time for the season with Farm Animal Rescue & Rehoming Movement - FARRM's online auction! Bidding wars end Friday and all proceeds will help our friends stock up on much-needed supplies to keep their sanctuary animals happy and healthy throughout the winter!

Our annual Goats n' Ghouls online auction is live, and will run until Oct 16! We have over 150 lots and this year we've set a lofty goal of $10,000 as our vet bills are almost double that. We will always give our residents the care they need, but with a large number of them aging this means an increase in health issues, vet visits, and long-term medications. Seems the adage "an apple a day keeps the doctor away" doesn't apply to our residents, despite all the apple donations over the past couple months.

You’ll find heaps of unique items to bid on such as alcohol, adventure packages, home decor, art, jewelry, unique crafty creations, and so much more. There are items that will appeal to our Edmonton and Calgary supporters alike, so there's something for everyone no matter where you are in the province!

We also want to take a moment to thank the extraordinary donors who made this auction possible. Many are small businesses or individuals, and many are also repeat donors who come back year after year. Without them, there would be no auction, and we are so grateful for every contribution.

Important: We have switched to Zeffy for our online auction platform this year, which means all winning bids are automatically charged to the winning bidder's credit card. Please keep this in mind as you browse.

A small known fact about Help a Buddy Fund is that we support rescues, not just by providing funding through our own grant programs, but by offering grant application writing services to help your rescue secure funding from the two other major animal welfare grants in Alberta.

For small rescues where you don't have the time and resources to seek funding from these foundations, we can help! We charge a nominal fee which is considered as a donation to our cause.

Get in touch if this is a service you are interested in.

We're big fans of soaking in the last bit of summer as we feel the cooler temps rolling in, and what better way to do that then to get in some cuddles with adorable animals, or support their care with a BBQ fundraiser?!

Next Chapter Animal Rescue League is having an adoption event in Red Deer for you to see if you might meet your newest family member! Every dollar helps us provide financial grants to rescues across Alberta. Right now, we need funds to top up our Bella Bucks Emergency Donation Program. Bella Bucks is a branch of our granting program that helps animals in care of our rescue heroes who are undergoing emergency veterinary care. Named after Bella, who lost her life after a sudden spleen rupture - an $8,000 surgery, we are ensuring that animal welfare organizations across our province are able to financially cover the costs of these sudden emergencies.

Rain, rain, go away. Let me go outside and play!

Golfers across the province - get your clubs ready and head out to the green to support animal rescue efforts this season! What better way to support animals in need than to combine it with your favourite hobby?

There are many animal welfare charities doing golf tournaments in the coming months, and we highlight three of them:
Our friends at Grace Animal Society are registering golfers in teams of four to support their cause on August 28th, while Hope Lives Here Animal Rescue Society are looking for golfers to join them on September 13th. As well, The Parsons Animal Rescue Foundation can help you practice your swing for a good cause on September 18th!

Be sure to check out each of these opportunities to give back to the groups who are doing the hard work that is needed to protect animals in our province, and consider either signing up for their golf tournaments, or give a donation to support their efforts.
