Join us every Wednesday at the Callingwood Wednesday Market!
What You'll Find Every Wednesday

The Wednesday market is intentionally intimate with a curated selection of 12–20 local vendors focused on what West Edmonton shoppers love most: real food, grown close to home.

Fresh Alberta Produce — Seasonal fruit and vegetables harvested fresh and brought directly to market. Strawberries, peas, beans, zucchini, tomatoes, corn, and more as the summer unfolds.

Homemade & Artisan Goods — Freshly baked bread, preserves, honey, specialty sauces, and handcrafted food products made in small batches by passionate local producers. DIY

Handmade Workshops — Once a month, a hands-on craft workshop led by a local artisan. Watch our events page for details.

Live Music — Local musicians perform acoustic sets throughout the market, turning your mid-week errand into something you'll actually look forward to.

See you behind the TD Bank. https://www.callingwoodfarmersmarket.com/events/wednesday-market

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services Drone Program Soaring, Enhancing Citywide Emergency Response

Edmonton Fire Rescue Services (EFRS) officially unveiled its drone program this summer, showcasing advanced aerial technology that strengthens public safety, protects frontline crews and enhances emergency response across the city. To give Edmontonians a closer look at how the technology operates, EFRS is rolling out a five-part educational video series to highlight how drones support crews during various emergency situations.

Episode one & two released already and the remaining episodes will become available on Thursdays throughout September. You and your family can follow along on EFRS' Facebook, Instagram, or X channels as the series releases, or you can visit edmonton.ca/FireRescueDrones for full information on the drone program.

Get Ready in the Neighbourhood!

FREE Online event
Thursday, September 17 • 7 PM - 9 PM MDT

Being prepared is one of the best ways to recover quickly from an emergency.

Join Neighbourhood Services, in partnership with the Red Cross, to learn how to strengthen your community and prepare for emergencies. You will learn practical skills such as how to identify hazards, make a plan for your family and neighbourhood, and build a support network when an emergency strikes.

Emergencies can take on many different forms and can affect a wide range of people. One consistency between all emergencies is the importance of neighbours helping neighbours during a crisis. Neighbours helping neighbours is a critically important component of the immediate emergency response as well as a community’s long term recovery.

In order to enable people to build and belong to communities that matter, we strive to empower citizens to be resilient by connecting to resources that help neighbourhoods deal with challenges. These challenges can take on various forms including a variety of emergency situations.
