During life's most difficult moments, having a quiet, comforting space to be together can make all the difference.

At Covenant Health’s Mary Immaculate Care Centre in Mundare, plans are underway to create a new Compassion Room: a private suite where families can gather, find comfort and say their final goodbyes in peace.

Gratitude for a community that cares! 💛

We're celebrating the generosity of the Rotary Club of Edmonton South and the difference they're making for our tiniest patients and their families at the Misericordia Community Hospital.

Thanks in part to their contribution, new MicroCool fridges have been brought to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where every room is now equipped with a dedicated fridge. This means mothers can safely store breast milk right at their baby's bedside, bringing greater comfort, convenience and peace of mind to families during a vulnerable time.

We're grateful for community partners like the Rotary Club of Edmonton South, whose generosity helps make compassionate care possible. Thank you for making a difference!

Reconciliation is shaped by what we learn, how we listen and the actions we take together.

Today, on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we take time to reflect, learn and recognize the importance of continuing the journey toward reconciliation. 🧡

Within health care, that journey includes listening to Indigenous voices and creating spaces and experiences where culture, tradition and ways of healing are respected and reflected.

Today and beyond, there is more to learn and more work to do.

After Diane MacPherson received compassionate care at Carmel Hospice at Covenant’s St. Joseph’s Home in Medicine Hat, her family wanted to honour her memory by giving back to the community.

Now in its second year, the Diane MacPherson Memorial Dart Tournament brings family, friends and community together in Diane’s memory. This year, Diane’s children, Joe Lemaire and Amanda MacPherson, donated proceeds from the tournament to Carmel Hospice. They plan for this to become a tradition they'll carry forward each year.

We’re grateful to the MacPherson family and to the Medicine Hat community. At Covenant, we believe that compassionate care is rooted in dignity, connection and community, and that generosity like this helps us live that mission for patients, residents and families every day.

A great day on the course! ⛳️🐾

Covenant Foundation had a wonderful time at the 57th annual Edmonton Chamber of Commerce. Our team was out at one of the holes connecting with golfers throughout the day, along with some very special guests, from the Pet Therapy Society of Northern Alberta.

Our furry friends and their dedicated volunteers were a hit, bringing plenty of smiles and highlighting how pet therapy helps enhance the care and experiences of patients and residents.

Thank you to the Edmonton Chamber for a great day and to everyone who stopped by to say hello and spend some time with our four-legged friends! 💙🐶
