The votes are in and we have a new trail name!

With the windmills now gone, it’s time for the Windmill Wilderness Trail to get a new name too. After putting the call out for your ideas, we’re excited to introduce…

Gone with the Wind Trail

💨

Thank you to everyone who sent in suggestions and helped us give this trail its new name.

And don’t forget…Though the windmills are gone, this trail and its beautiful views are here to stay!

Our Windmill Wilderness Trail needs a new name!

With the windmills being removed, the Windmill Wilderness Trail needs a new name. We want the community to help!

We’d love a name inspired by the trail itself, the surrounding landscape at Van Tassel Lake Trails Association, local history, wildlife, or something meaningful to our community.

Have an idea? Comment your suggestions below.

We can’t wait to hear what you come up with!
