RIDE info during WRR week.

Tuesday 1st - Heart of The Valley. 2pm.
Wednesday 2nd - ARC & Mountain Lea, Bridgetown. 2pm.
Thursday 3rd - Conway Workshop, Digby. 1pm.
Friday 4th - Digby Hospital. 10am.
Saturday 5th - CAV ride to Yarmouth. 10-11am.
Sunday 6th - Family Rides, Digby, WRR HQ. 11am.

We are also scheduled for - Shoreham Village; Berwick; Orchard Point; Ocean View; Yarmouth; and second visits to Blomidon Court and Tibbetts. A few others will also pop up if we can fit them in.

STW does many rides each year but we are proud to announce we have hit 516 rides already this year. A record number. We have as many as 200 more rides to give! We average around 18 events and homes. This year we have done 14 with at least 14 more planned. That is an incredible achievement from all our VOLUNTEERS. Well done. 🥇🏆🏍😎👍
If September stays a warm month we will continue running to the end of the month. In addition we have had 7 NEW to us LTC facilities visited, which dramatically expands the area we are covering in 2026.
Wharf Rat Rally week is usually 100 rides alone as this is where the STW initiative was 'born'. We have put out meet up's and ride routes in the past to each event, but we have simply do not have the support or manpower to do this recently. Riders are welcome to cruise in with us. We focus on the homes. However we will publish a short schedule for WRR week. (Remember, all rides are weather dependent and times can change.)
If you know the homes we are visiting and have relatives in them, contact them. If you are visiting that day we gladly take you along with the resident for a great lifetime experience. Anything to get an extra smile in the bank! 🤣💕

It’s always great when the STW team gets recognition and it humbles us as such a small thing we do we generate a ton of smiles. 😊
We are run by 6 volunteers, generating our own funds, minimizing bike costs, spending hours polishing and riding our bikes, but it must be worth it as this is our 16th year doing this!
Each bike and sidecar costs $2,500 to keep running all year with most of that going on insurance. The rest goes on ⛽️ gas, (the more runs we do the more it costs), spit and polish, (we like to look good for the residents), 🔧 parts (tires, oil, polish, breakages …) snacks and 💦 water for the team, social media (keeping people in the know and sharing those smiles), storage and a few organizing phone calls.
We charge ZERO dollars for what we do and want to keep it that way. Every little bit of support is appreciated even a simple like or follow.
If anyone knows someone who would like to sponsor what we do then please get in touch with Pete Tony James, our organizer, as our vision is to get a third, fourth and fifth bike to span Nova Scotia end to end. That’s a lot of smiles. 👍

Share the Wind will have both sidecars in the parade this Saturday. Greg and Reid will be our riders with special guests in the sidecars.
