1st Digby Embers did a clean up of the grassy areas outside our meeting place tonight. First, we learned about sources of litter and how it harms the environment and community. Then we took action to make our community a cleaner place. We filled two bags and then some!

The sun is shining so 1st Digby Guides and Pathfinders will be selling cookies TODAY Monday April 27th at the Digby Frenchy's Guy Frenchy's of Digby parking lot today from 5pm to 6pm

We have classic vanilla and chocolate sandwiches at this time and cookies are $6 per box or $72 for a case of 12 and can accept CASH OR CARD!!!

The Digby Ember’s Unit will be hosting a cookie drive through from APPROXIMATELY 6:15-7:15 this coming Thursday (that’s April 23rd) in the Digby Elementary Bus Loop!

DEIA tip: GGC does not conduct uniform inspections

We focus on creating a welcoming, inclusive space where members feel comfortable and proud to belong, not judged on appearance. Uniforms are a way to show Guiding spirit and a sense of community, not a measure of performance, status or compliance. Every member’s way of wearing their uniform may look a little different, and that’s okay. What matters most is participation, teamwork and living the Promise and Law, not perfection in presentation.

Today, our Girl Guides proudly took part in the Digby Remembrance Day Ceremony, honouring all those who have served and continue to serve our country. We were honoured to have 10 girls present, representing all three of our Unit Groups!
Most of our girls had the opportunity to lay a wreath in remembrance of our fallen heroes. Two of our Guides had the distinct honour of accompanying the representative of the Silver Cross Mother, whose own brother was lost overseas — a truly meaningful and emotional moment for everyone present.
We were also so proud to see Guider Claudia wearing another hat today — as the Secretary of the Royal Canadian Legion in Digby — and serving as MC for the ceremony! What an incredible example of service and leadership for our girls to witness!
We are so proud of our Guides for representing our Units with respect, pride, and gratitude on this important day of remembrance!
Thank you to the parents for taking the time to bring them for this important event!

Starting Thursday Sept 25th - Digby Heritage Centre 6pm

Embers (Ages 7/8) - AVAILABLE SPOTS 7
Starting Thursday Sept 18th - Digby Elementary School 6pm

Guides (Ages 9/10/11) - AVAILABLE SPOTS 4
Starting Monday Sept 22nd - Digby Fire Hall 6pm (first 2 weeks then 5.30pm after that)

Pathfinders (Ages 12/13/14) - AVAILABLE SPOTS 10
Starting Monday Sept 22nd - Digby Fire Hall 6pm (first 2 weeks then 7.00pm after that)
