Welcome to #13 NLCC JF WILLIAMS!

We are a non-profit youth organisation that is all about building self-confidence, self-esteem and leadership skills to children between 9 to 12 years old.

Thank you for joining our party Navy League Cadets - Cormorant 💙We hope you all had as much fun as we did!

Recently our NCOs joined the BCMD’s NCO training weekend and learned many important leadership skills to bring back to their junior cadets. We can’t wait to watch them use their new skills to guide the rest of the corps to a very successful year!

We also want to recognise LC Singh for her assertiveness with her group over the weekend. She let her leadership instincts take over and immediately organised her group into a division. Bravo Zulu again!

We had some long awaited promotions for a couple of our cadets. We would like to congratulate Leading Cadet Tran for his promotion to Petty Officer 2nd class! As well, Able Cadet Singh to the rank of Leading Cadet! 🎉🎉🎉

We were so delighted to invite #15 CAPTAIN RANKIN for our pizza party banyan! The cadets fuelled up with food before gearing up for an intense water fight 🔫 We think it’s safe to say they aimed and didn’t miss.

We can’t wait to see everyone again for another great year in September!

We would like to thank all of the guests who came to JF WILLIAMS’ ACR this year to see the cadets’ final parade of the cadet year 🎉

We would like to extend an extra special thank you to our reviewing officer Capt. (Ret’d) Terry Leith (CD), president of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 2, for attending the ceremony.

Our program would not be able to run so smoothly without our community, our staff, our volunteers, our parents, and especially not without our cadets. This has truly been one of the most memorable years we have ever had. We cannot wait to be back in September!

All of our New Entries are finally sworn in! We were also able to award our first aid team with their first aid badges.

In a similar but different vein, two of our cadets, Petty Officer 1st Class Pynadath and Chief Petty Officer 1st Class Chan, took on the challenge to show off their semaphore and phonetic alphabet knowledge. This rewarded them with the semaphore badge and the communications badge!

Be sure to check out everyone’s shiny new badges and ranks during our upcoming ACR.

Join us in congratulating our Coxswain for his promotion from Chief Petty Officer 2nd class to Chief Petty Officer 1st Class! This is the highest rank a cadet can achieve in their cadet career and is granted only to a select few with exceptional leadership and exemplary drill, dress, and deportment. Bravo Zulu!

On your mark… Get set… GO🏃‍➡️
JF WILLIAMS’ cadets teamed up to race to the finish line — they had ran so fast, the wind started picking up! Despite that, they barely broke a sweat. When you get a chance, be sure to challenge your cadet to a race!

Promotions, promotions, promotions! It’s promotion season and we’re excited to congratulate our hardworking cadets. From New Entry to Ordinary Cadet to Able Cadet to Leading Cadet to Petty Officer 2nd Class to Petty Officer 1st class! We can’t wait to see them wear their brand new ranks proudly for our upcoming ACR 🤩
