We are sincerely thankful to Mina Stefanovic for hosting the 2nd Annual Keys For Care Piano Concert, which raised a total of $2,000 for Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation. As a lifelong Delta resident, Mina is no stranger to sharing the benefits of music with her community – she has played piano in many of Ladner and Tsawwassen’s local care homes. Now, through Keys for Care, Mina is expanding her musical reach to benefit high-quality healthcare at the Delta Hospital Campus of Care. During this concert, Mina treated audience members to a solo recital which included works from Bach, Beethoven, Liszt, Chopin, Sancan, and more, resulting in a standing ovation from the audience. We are truly grateful to Mina for sharing her exceptional talent and generous spirit with us once again this year.

Jo‑Anne Kirk, Clinical Operations Manager, works behind the scenes to ensure care runs seamlessly so staff can focus on supporting patients and families with dignity, comfort, and kindness. We are deeply grateful to our dedicated staff whose compassion and commitment make this care possible every day.

On Tuesday, the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 289 presented Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation with a cheque for $5,000 in support of the Endoscopy Campaign. Thanks to the incredible $1 million matching opportunity from Jim Pattison, their generosity will go twice as far. The Legion also donated an additional $4,000 toward priority equipment needs at the Delta Hospital Campus of Care. Since 1995, this dedicated local service club has contributed more than $188,000 to support healthcare in our community. We are incredibly grateful for the longstanding support of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 289 and extend our sincere thanks to all of its members whose generosity continues to make a meaningful difference.

We are truly grateful to the Kinsmen Club of Ladner-Tsawwassen for their donation of $4,000 to Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation (DHCH Foundation). Their generosity will help fund a Medication Cart for Delta Hospital’s Medical Unit – a critical equipment piece which assists healthcare teams with medication management and dispensation. Since 1992, the Kinsmen Club of Ladner-Tsawwassen has now contributed over $22,600 towards priority equipment needs at the Delta Hospital Campus of Care! Their longstanding support has been instrumental to providing high-quality care right here in Delta.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Gary Cowell, a remarkable philanthropist, community leader, and cherished friend.

Gary’s generosity and vision, through Cowell Auto Group and the Cowell Foundation, created lasting impact in our community and touched countless lives. This past November, it was our honour to celebrate Gary and the Cowell Family as our Moonlight Gala Tribute Award recipient—an evening made even more meaningful by his presence.

A devoted family man and passionate supporter of giving back, Gary believed deeply in the power of community. His legacy of kindness, leadership, and generosity will continue to inspire all of us.

We were honoured to attend his celebration of life this past weekend and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know him.
