A wish box is a special moment in a wish kid’s journey, filled with thoughtful surprises and the exciting news that their wish is coming true! ✨💙

Earlier this week, our incredible partner, WestJet packed and delivered a special wish box for 8-year-old Ira, who is living with a brain tumour. Surrounded by his family, Ira opened his wish box to discover that he’ll soon be heading to Walt Disney World®! 🏰✨ And the surprises didn’t stop there — WestJet packed each of his siblings special gifts of their own, making this moment even more meaningful for the whole family. 🥹💖

Thanks to WestJet Ira and his family will soon be on their way to making unforgettable memories together. A heartfelt thank you to WestJet for helping bring this wish to life and giving Ira and his family something wonderful to look forward to. 💙✈️

The 22nd annual HMCS Halifax / NCSM Halifax Run for Wishes was a huge success! 🎉

We want to give a massive thank you to the entire HMCS Halifax / NCSM Halifax crew for showing up year after year for our wish families. The crew came together to run across our province, while raising much needed funds to help grant wishes. ✨

The crew surpassed their initial $40,000 fundraising goal. We are thrilled to share that a record breaking $75,000 was raised – WOW! What a testament to the hard work of the dedicated crew. Thank you to our volunteers, community members, staff, and everyone else who came out to show their support.

We can't wait to see what next year holds! 💙

Who you gonna call? Our wish kid Brent! 👻With Halloween just around the corner, we couldn’t pass up the chance to share a little glimpse of Brent’s incredible wish! 💚

At just 7 years old, Brent wished to become a Ghostbuster, and his wish grew into a full-scale paranormal adventure across the city. Armed with his very own Proton Pack, Brent answered the call, tracked down Slimer, and even became an honorary junior member of the Alberta Ghostbusters! 🚨

But what made this wish truly extraordinary was the community that came together to make it happen. From the Calgary Police Service and emergency medical personnel to DMI Productions, Mayor Jeremy Farkas, the Alberta Ghostbusters, and more than 100 volunteers, an entire city helped Brent step into the world he loves.

The power of a wish is truly unmatched, and an entire city proved this true. 💙 It brings people together, creates moments of joy and connection, and reminds us what’s possible when a community rallies around a child. For Brent and everyone who helped make his wish come true, the impact reaches far beyond one unforgettable day.

And this is just the beginning! We’ll be sharing more of Brent’s Ghostbusters adventure soon, but we couldn’t let Halloween pass without celebrating this incredible wish.

💙 A heartfelt thank you to community members Eleanor and Glenn for their generous $1,200 donation to Make-A-Wish Canada, made in memory of William Savory and Percy Shepard.

The donation presentation took place at Mullins Rite Stop, which also contributed $500, bringing the total donation to $1,700.

Joining the presentation were William's great-grandchildren, Cullen, Weston, Rory, Penelope, and Ellie, along with his wife Annie. We were also pleased to have Councillor Steven MacNeil in attendance to recognize this meaningful gift.

Thank you to Eleanor, Glenn, Mullins Rite Stop, and everyone involved for helping bring hope and joy to children with critical illnesses through the power of a wish. 💙✨

A huge thank you to longtime volunteer Dale Ling from Truro, Nova Scotia! 🎉

Year after year, Dale logs thousands of kilometres walking, all while raising funds to help bring life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses. This year, she achieved an incredible milestone by breaking her own annual fundraising record, raising $6,035 through her Step-It-Up-for-Wishes campaign.

Thank you, Dale, and thank you to everyone who supported her efforts. Your dedication helps make more wishes possible for wish children and their families across Canada. 💙⭐

We often get asked: how does a child get referred to Make-A-Wish® Canada?⭐A referral can come from a healthcare professional who is part of the child’s healthcare team, a parent or legal guardian, or even from the child themself!

Every wish is unique and different, just like every child. That’s why our team is here to connect with each family and help guide them through the enitre wish process.

Wingn’ It is helping make wishes possible this October! 💙🍗 From October 16–31, Wing'n It Restaurants is helping make wishes possible this October! 💙🍗 From October 16–31, Wing'n It Restaurants locations across Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and Alberta are supporting Make-A-Wish Canada through their Corporate Campaign.

On October 16, $2 from every wing meal sold will be donated to Make-A-Wish Canada. From October 16–31, customers can also round up their bill at the register, and $1 from every kids meal sold will be donated to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses.

At five years old, Carter was diagnosed with lymphoma. Through hospital stays, treatments and countless difficult days, he held onto his laughter, curiosity and incredible spirit.

A wish can give a child something to look forward to. 💙 When facing a critical illness, childhood can start to feel very far away. There can be fear, uncertainty and sadness — and so much of life gets put on pause.
