The Nova Scotia Kiwanis Music Festival, once known as The Halifax Musical Festival, was formed in 1935 in order to encourage and support developing young musicians.

Are you an emerging artist looking to make your mark in the arts world? Apply to participate in a Young Artist Residency program at LAMP today! ✨

A core program within LAMP's training opportunities, our residencies provide you with the freedom, support, and time needed to create and collaborate on new projects. Spend time in peaceful Lunenburg, Nova Scotia where you can focus on your music and your artistic voice.

Previous residency musicians include Leland Ko, Rachel Fenlon, the Rhea-Scherer Duo, as well as our Artistic Directors, the Verona Quartet. 🎻

All instruments are encouraged to apply. Please provide a cover letter and brief project proposal outlining what you hope to accomplish through your residency.
