Comme le souligne Jill Zelmanovits, présidente et cheffe de la direction nationale de Grands Frères Grandes Sœurs du Canada :

« Nous ne pouvons pas faire disparaître les difficultés auxquelles les jeunes sont confrontés, mais nous pouvons les aider à mieux y faire face. 98 % des personnes mentorées de GFGS affirment que leur mentore ou mentor leur montre qu’elles comptent. »

Last weekend we held our Big on STEM event thanks to the generosity of Cenovus and workshop facilitation by the wonderful team at SuperNOVA at Dalhousie University. Littles got to try out some robots, learned about bio-mechanics and built a wind turbine. It was a great opportunity for our youth to learn more about possible careers in STEM fields and have some hands-on fun!

We're looking forward to our Big on STEM event tomorrow, thanks to the generous support of Cenovus and fun, hands-on facilitation by the team at SuperNOVA at Dalhousie University. STEM activities give youth the chance to explore, create and problem-solve while discovering new interests and imagining the possibilities for their future careers.
