Clarissa Grover is helping students at École Belle-Baie go the distance with Kids Run Club! Rather than simply running laps, the group heads down the road on a scenic route where students have created markers every 100 metres, all the way to the 2K mark. It's a creative way to help young runners track their progress, build confidence and stay motivated as they work toward their running goals. Beautiful scenery, fresh air and plenty of enthusiasm make for a great Kids Run Club experience! 👟🌿🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Teacher Krista Hurley from River Hebert District School has been helping students prepare for their final Kids Run Club event in a creative way, marking dots on hands to keep track of laps as runners build their endurance and confidence.

This Friday, students will join six other local schools at Spring Street Academy in Amherst for a virtual Blue Nose 2 km and 4 km event. It's exciting to see hundreds of young people working toward a goal, supporting one another and discovering what they can achieve through movement, dedication and perseverance.

Best of luck to all the runners as they celebrate the culmination of a fantastic Kids Run Club season! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🎉

The principal of Cobequid District Elementary School, Millie Crowe, has been leading Kids Run Club at the school for a number of years, continuing to champion student movement and healthy habits throughout the school community. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌧️

Even the rain couldn’t dampen student enthusiasm as they ran laps around the school, building their running stamina ahead of next week’s final event.

Excellent effort by everyone, and best of luck at the big run next week! 💙

There has been lots of excitement and activity at Beazley Field recently as Dartmouth elementary schools gathered for their track and field meet last week, with Halifax schools set to take the field this week! 🏃‍♀️🏅🏃‍♂️

It’s inspiring to see so many young students outside, moving their bodies, building confidence and showing incredible sportsmanship as they compete and cheer one another on.

Events like these help create lifelong memories, healthy habits and a joy of movement that extends far beyond the track. Well done to all students, teachers, coaches and volunteers involved! 💙
