On May 27, Westland Insurance held its annual Food Drive in support of the Cranbrook Food Bank! 💙

Thanks to the incredible generosity of the community, $342.40 was raised, and 126 lbs of food was collected. Support like this helps ensure neighbours in need have access to nourishing food and reminds us how caring and compassionate this community truly is.

Recently, the Cranbrook Food Bank took a road trip to the Okanagan! 🚐💚

A huge thank you to the Lake Country Food Bank and the Central Okanagan Community Food Bank for the warm welcome, the incredible tours, and for sharing your knowledge, passion, and dedication to helping your communities.

It was so great to meet the Lake Country Food Bank team in person during their Tee Up to Drive Out Hunger Golf Tournament and to spend time with the Greater Vancouver Food Bank team.

So many organizations all working together in the name of food security, collaboration, and having a little fun along the way! It was great to share what we are doing in Cranbrook, our needs, and how we can help our communities thrive by working together.

Trips like this are an important reminder of just how far food travels to reach communities like Cranbrook. Freight and logistics remain one of the biggest barriers to getting food where it’s needed most, which is why strong partnerships across BC matter so much, and it is one of our top priorities here at the Cranbrook Food Bank.

Together, food keeps moving, communities stay connected, and more people gain access to nourishing food. 💚

It’s always a great day when the team from RBC Wealth Management stops by! 💙

Back at the beginning of May, they joined us to help sort donations from the Community-Wide Food Drive, and wow, were they ever quick and efficient! It was wonderful to see some familiar faces alongside new ones.

Our hearts are so full after this amazing fundraiser. 💚

Working with these two wonderful humans was such a joy, and seeing their whole family jump in to help on the big day was truly something special. That’s what community is all about: people showing up for one another with kindness, generosity, and big hearts.

To Closet 31, everyone who donated food or cash, and everyone who helped spread the word, thank you ❤️

We say it all the time, but it’s true: we could not do this work without our community standing beside us. Cranbrook, you continue to show just how caring and compassionate this community really is, and we are so grateful to be part of it. 💚

One of the highlights of our anniversary celebration was the opportunity to give back to our community. 💚

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our customers, we collected $247.25 worth of food donations for the Cranbrook Food Bank Society. As promised, Closet 31 matched that amount, and with the addition of cash donations received throughout the day, together we raised just over 🎉$500🎉 in support of local families facing food insecurity.

We'd like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed. Whether you brought a food item, made a cash donation, or helped spread the word, you made a difference.

Community has always been at the heart of Closet 31, and we're grateful to be part of a town that shows up for one another time and time again.

At the Cranbrook Food Bank, we believe community care goes beyond food. 💜 We are always grateful for opportunities to support other organizations doing important work and helping make sure everyone feels cared for and supported.

We were so happy to donate Joni pads and liners for Menstrual Hygiene Day and to help ensure essential menstrual products are available to those who need them.

Thank you to everyone who donated during the event at Rotary Park. It’s amazing to see our community come together with such kindness and compassion because menstrual care is health care.

Thank you once again to Food Banks Canada and Women and Gender Equality Canada for leading the way in Menstrual Equity, and for Get_joni for being such an awesome distribution vendor 🧡
