☀️💧 CYN COOL CONNECTIONS HYDRATION STATION! 💧☀️

Taking a break from the sun? 🌞 Stop by and cool down with us! The Community Youth Network Cool Connections Hydration Station will be set up at the Majestic Lawn from 1:30–4:00 PM!

We’ll have:
💧 Free bottled water
🚰 Water bottle refills
🐾 A drink for your furry friends
🧴 Free sunscreen to apply
🍧 Freezies to cool you down!

Whether you need to take a break from the sun, cool off, refill your water bottle, or grab a refreshing freezie, come find us! 💙

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and enjoy the sunshine safely! ☀️💦

For the youth who attended our first Impact Camp (August 3–7), we sent home a survey about their experience, but we’ve only received 4 responses so far.
These surveys are incredibly important for helping us secure funding and determine what we should plan for next summer. Your feedback really makes a difference!

Today, August 12, we celebrate International Youth Day!

A day recognized by the United Nations to highlight the important role young people play in shaping our communities, societies, and the future of our world.

Youth bring fresh ideas, creativity, energy, and new perspectives to the challenges we face. International Youth Day is an opportunity to recognize their contributions, raise awareness of the challenges young people experience, and advocate for greater opportunities for youth to learn, participate, lead, and make their voices heard.

Celebrating this day reminds us that young people are not just leaders of tomorrow, they are leaders today. By listening to youth, supporting their ideas, and creating spaces where they can participate meaningfully, we can help build a more inclusive, innovative, and hopeful future.

The Community Youth Network and Humber Community YMCA would like to send a huge thank you to everyone who helped make our Foam & Fun Youth Fest such an incredible success!
A very special thank you to NL Amusements for travelling to Corner Brook and helping us bring this exciting event to the families in our community. Your partnership and support made it possible to create an unforgettable afternoon!
We'd also like to thank all of the community organizations that joined us with resource tables. Community Mental Health Initiative Inc. - CMHI, Becket, Vine Place Community Centre, Corner Brook Status of Women Council, Youth Ventures Newfoundland and Labrador, Eating Disorder Foundation of NL & Lab, Ukrainian National Federation of Canada - Avalon Branch - Western NL, and College of the North Atlantic Corner Brook Campus. You all helped make the event about more than just fun, it was an opportunity to build community and share valuable resources.
Much thanks to the City of Corner Brook for allowing us to host this event at the park, it was the perfect location!!!!
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came out! Whether you played games, danced in the foam, visited the resource tables, or simply stopped by to enjoy the atmosphere, you made this event the success it was. Seeing so many smiling faces and screams of fun made all the planning worthwhile.
And the best news? We're already looking forward to next summer because the Foam & Fun Youth Fest is officially booked to return! 🫧🎉
Thank you again for helping us create such an amazing day. We can't wait to do it all again next year! 💙☀️

👕 Don't forget to wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting wet! Bringing a towel and a change of clothes is also a great idea.
