Corner Brook DGC – September Stats Recap

Fall disc golf is here: when missing the fairway doesn’t just mean finding a bush—it means spending 20 minutes kicking through orange leaves trying to find an orange disc.

Despite the autumn camouflage, another solid month on the books.

Corner Brook Disc Golf at the 2026 Provincial Championships

A crew of Corner Brook players made the trip across the island to Gander this past weekend for the 5th Annual Disc Golf NL Provincial Championships at Airport Nordic Ski Club. Over three competitive rounds, the west coast contingent put on a clinic, securing podium finishes across nearly every division entered.

Division Results & Player Highlights:

MA50: Sean Dwyer took 1st place, bringing home a provincial title with consistent, steady play all weekend.

MA40: A massive battle at the top of the leaderboard. Cory Lockyer pushed the division leader to the limit, forcing a sudden-death playoff for 1st before finishing in a hard-fought 2nd place. Cory Rideout joined him on the podium with a strong 3rd place finish.

MPO: David Jenniex navigated the tight wooded fairways to secure 2nd place overall in the open division.

MA3: Another double podium for Corner Brook, with Aaron Hillier capturing 2nd place and Gord LeRoy locking down 3rd place.

MJ18: Carter Hubley delivered a great weekend of golf in the junior division, earning 3rd place.

Seven podium finishes across five divisions made for a standout weekend for Corner Brook disc golf.
