Rob Perry of the Corner Brook Elks Lodge #505 dropped by to see Executive Director Suzanne Carey at the Western Regional Hospital Foundation office to deliver their generous $1,000 donation.

The Elks made their pledge during the annual WRH Foundation Radiothon Friday on BayFM. This donation from the Elks brings their gifts to date to an amazing total of just over $16,000.

We would like to recognize two heroes in healthcare who were presented with Guardian Angel awards recently! The Guardian Angel program celebrates those who have made a significant difference in the lives of patients, often going above and beyond the call of duty.

Patricia Tucker and Niki Smith do this every day and were recently recognized for their phenomenal work.

Their nominator shared her experience and gratitude with us for Patricia and Niki as follows "You are always so helpful. When you zipper my coat, when you help me with my winter boots, when you put a warm blanket around me after I’m finished with dialysis, and in all your acts of kindness. Everything you do is greatly appreciated! Thank you for being my Guardian Angels!"

The results of the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie Campaign were revealed at the Radiothon on Friday and they were incredible! The best to date, in fact. 👏

The cheque donation photo was taken at the O’Connell Drive Location as they raised the highest funds this year. Murphy Square, you were so close!

All five locations did amazing and we would like to thank the management, staff and patrons of all the Tim Hortons stores in our area for your hard work and cookie love that culminated in a $37,559.20 donation to improve healthcare in the Western Region of NL. 🤎💛
