The heart of MS Walk Corner Brook is truly thanks to the many incredible volunteers. Without our volunteers, MS Walk Corner Brook would not be possible - plain and simple. Our MS Hub in Corner Brook thanks and appreciates every single person who devoted a gesture and/or their time. Thanks to you folks, our Walk continues to be a huge success and grows more each and every year. In no particular order (and with fear of missing someone, if we did, PLEASE still know you were so appreciated). 🙏🏻♥️

From many hours of behind the scenes work with logistics leading up to the big day and post- event, sitting at the registration table, counting all of the funds, providing first-aid services, distributing incentives, organizing 50/50 ticket sales, organizing the raffle with auction items, recruiting and organizing volunteer roles, MS awareness table, set up/take down of the event, crossing guard services, fundraising/ receiving sponsors and donations, promoting the event through partnerships like BayFM, MS Walk social media page, organizing and hosting an amazing BBQ, picking up food and supplies, distributing water and snacks, creating and distributing team awards/ thank you cards, an impact speaker, a fantastic warm-up from a fitness professional before MS Walk, wonderful children’s activities/ face painting, animal balloons, professional photography, beautiful entertainment, emceeing the event, a telephone interview leading up to the big day and everything else in between - everyone listed played a big part of the pie 🥧 and we couldn’t be more grateful. 🙏🏻😁🥹THANK YOU!

It takes a village and we have the best one!

Thank you to the Kinsmen Club for their continued partnership and ongoing support of the MS Community.

They graciously allow our group to host monthly MS Peer Support & Walk Planning meetings in the Kinsmen Club throughout the year. On top of that, they go above and beyond for the MS Community by hosting AND supplying the most delicious BBQ. They assisted with more running around in the last week than anyone could possibly understand lol! Needless to say, the Corner Brook MS Hub Committee were beyond grateful to receive this yesterday. 😭🙏🏻♥️

May is MS Awareness Month in Corner Brook.

Multiple sclerosis is a complex, unpredictable neurological disease affecting roughly 90,000 Canadians—including 1 in 400 right here at home.

From extreme fatigue and coordination issues to vision changes, the symptoms of MS vary widely, and there is still no known cure. But there is hope. Since 1948, MS Canada has dedicated over $200 million toward ground-breaking research and life-changing support services.

Together, through the incredible dedication of our volunteers and community supporters, we can connect, empower, and work toward a world free of multiple sclerosis.
