Hike: Horseshoe Loop

📍 Meet at Good Earth
🕗 Carpool departs at 8:00 a.m. sharp

Please bring the essentials, including:

* Water
* Appropriate hiking footwear and clothing
* Snacks/lunch
* Sunscreen and a hat
* Bear spray

We had perfect timing last Sunday — the clouds started rolling in just as we were finishing our walk. What a terrific local adventure in such a beautiful spot.

We only had one small detour due to trail flooding, but just like that, another path opened up and we were back on track.

Hello Walking & Hiking Crew!

It looks like Mother Nature may be bringing us another rainy Sunday, so we’ll keep this week’s adventure a little closer to home and head to Griffith Woods.

Today’s walk may have included a few comments about the rain and wind, but that’s all part of the adventure.

We walked, we laughed, and most importantly, we got out there.

The troopers you see in this photo are truly sensational people that I’m proud to call friends. Rain, wind, or sunshine, they always show up.

Moral of the story: Always have people in your life who will walk in the rain with you. ☔️❤️👟

This weekend’s walk will be local! ☕🌧️

An easy way to get outside without a huge commitment. We checked the weather, and it sounds like we may get a good amount of precipitation — but we’ll still get out for a walk and warm up with coffee afterwards.

Join us Sunday, May 24th for a fun day out on one of Kananaskis’ favourite local trails ☀️

Fullerton Loop is a mostly easy hike with wide paths and very well-signed directions when completed counter-clockwise. Taking the trail this way gives you a more gradual incline before leading into a steeper — but still very manageable — descent, even without poles. Along the way you’ll enjoy beautiful mountain and valley views 🌄

This trail is more about the overall experience than big lookout points. The changing scenery, forest sections, and peaceful surroundings make it a fantastic hike close to home 🌿

Looking forward to another great day on the trails!

A favourite for our hiking group — close to Cochrane and always a great hike!

Join us this Sunday, May 17th, for a beautiful morning on the trails at Big Hill Springs Provincial Park.

📍 Meet at Good Earth Coffee Shop in Cochrane
⏰ 9:00 a.m. to car pool

A few important reminders for the trail:
🐻 Please bring bear spray
🐶 All dogs must remain on leash
💧 Bring water and dress for the weather
