Ignite HOPE Alberta Hydrocephalus Support Group IGNITE HOPE strives to SUPPORT, CONNECT, EMPOWER, and INSPIRE Parents in Alberta who have Children w I am a wife and mother to 3 beautiful spirited children.

Our eldest has been diagnosed with hydrocephalus in utero and received her first brain surgery just after birth. She is an amazing 13-year-old Hydro-Warrior who has been through 7 brain surgeries, survived a stroke and currently on her fifth shunt. She is funny, witty, and filled with a deep passion for LIFE but obviously has her challenges. There is NO CURE for Hydrocephalus, the only treatment

option for a blocked VP-shunt is brain surgery. It is not always easy to rise above the storms, find beauty in the challenge BUT this is what our family strive towards every single day. Our journey has taught us the true meaning of life! FAITH • HOPE • LOVE • KINDNESS
