Our programs focus on Prevention, Education, Recreation, Cultural and Social needs and we strive to meet community child care needs.We are a member of the BGC Canada, a movement that supports over 700,000 children and youth annually.

Getting ready for a new school year is about more than setting up our spaces and creating fun pretend-play areas. It’s also about making sure the toys, equipment and furniture our children use are safe, functional and ready for another year of play. 💚

As part of our annual check, we carefully go through our items and sometimes find toys, equipment and furniture that have been very well-loved and have simply reached the end of their useful life.

That’s where we are incredibly grateful for the support of Iron Wolf Junk Removal and Property Services! They generously helped us remove items that were no longer safe or suitable for continued use, making the process so much easier for our team.

Thank you, Iron Wolf, for your generosity and support of BGC Cochrane & Area! It takes a lot of people working behind the scenes to keep our spaces safe, welcoming and running smoothly, and we are so thankful to have community partners like you helping us along the way. 💚

A BIG thank you to the Rotary Club of Cochrane for helping make a BIG dream a reality!
We are incredibly excited and deeply grateful to announce that $130,000 has been raised for a new bus for BGC Cochrane & Area!
This incredible achievement would not have been possible without the Rotary Club of Cochrane, who took the lead on this major fundraising initiative and rallied our community around an opportunity that will make a lasting difference for local children and youth. We are so grateful for their vision, leadership and commitment to BGC.
And what does this new bus mean for BGC? Opportunity!
It will support our day-to-day programming, helping us get children and youth to activities, programs and experiences throughout our community. It will also make more field trips, adventures, learning opportunities and special experiences possible.
We are incredibly thankful to everyone who helped make this campaign a success, including the organizations, businesses, families and individuals who donated, contributed, shared the campaign and helped spread the word. Your generosity, combined with Rotary’s leadership, has made something truly special possible.
This bus will carry children, but what it really carries is an opportunity.
And at BGC, we know that Opportunity Changes Everything!

This summer, BGC Cochrane & Area was proud to provide meaningful employment opportunities for 12 young people through the Canada Summer Jobs program. ☀️💚
With the support of , our summer staff helped create fun, welcoming, and memorable experiences for children in our community while gaining valuable skills and work experience of their own.
We are so grateful for programs like Canada Summer Jobs that create opportunities for youth while helping organizations like ours make a positive impact in the community.
