Building Skills to Save Lives

Thanks to your support, Cochrane Urgent Care staff recently received advanced pediatric training through a 2-day Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course

We also have supported .firstaid monthly Child & Infant CPR Workshops for families.

From comfort to critical care, we’ve been busy with funding the following equipment at Cochrane Urgent Care!

New Bladder Scanner – for safe, painless diagnostics.
6 Cardiac Monitors – improving emergency care response.
Portable Workstations – helping staff access patient info faster.

Every piece of equipment makes a real difference for our local healthcare heroes.

🔹 Trustee of Fundraising – Help drive donations and connect with donors to support healthcare projects.
🔹 Trustee of Governance – Ensure strong leadership, transparency, and best practices for CAHF.
🔹 Board Secretary – Keep our board organized by managing meeting minutes, records, and communications.

1️⃣ We’re incredibly grateful to Rotary Cochrane and the Lindsay Leigh Kimmett Memorial Foundation for their generous donation from the Monumental Tournament of Aces! 🏌️‍♀️⛳️ Your support is helping us make a real difference in local healthcare.

2️⃣ Proud to partner with Cochrane Search and Rescue to fund the purchase of two mobile AEDs—essential tools that can save lives in emergencies.

3️⃣ Wrapped up the year with a warm and festive Christmas gathering at Smitty’s Cochrane, celebrating our amazing team of volunteers. 🎄🎁

4️⃣ Attended Cochrane Light Up alongside Two Pharmacy, who were supporting us as their November Community Roots Benefactor. It was wonderful connecting with so many of you!

We’re honored that the Adriana LaGrange, Alberta's Minister of Health, recently accepted our invitation to tour the Cochrane Community Health Centre and Cochrane Urgent Care!

It was a valuable opportunity to discuss Cochrane’s growing health needs and highlight the essential services our community relies on. We look forward to working together to improve healthcare access and resources in our region.
