Electronics Recycling, Paint and Light Bulb Drop-off

Dale McClease from the Lions Club, was overwhelmed with the support from the community on the electronics, paint and light bulb drop off today at the Legion.

He has now ran out of space in his truck and trailer.

He is packing up early today and he thanks the community for all the support.

Friday Night Meals - Meat Loaf

Cost: $15.00. Children 12 and under, $7.00.

October 30 – Meat loaf dinner, this week served with served with mashed potatoes, carrots and a roll with butter.

Desserts will include our non-sugar items such as watermelon and bananas with a large selection of pies and home made desserts. This week I hear that will include Blueberry Cheesecake (by Heather), :slab pie: (by Gerry) and peanut butter/marshmallow squares and chocolate/peanut butter bars (by Linda).

Dinners start at 4pm and run until 6pm or until we run out.

Fridays include four meat draws.

The monthly 50/50 draw for October has started and will be drawn on Friday October 30 at 5pm. Tickets are $5.00 and are available at the bar or see Sharon when she comes around for the Meat Draws.

"Everyone is welcome" so please come for some great food and fellowship. You never know what may happen at our Friday night meals.

Take out is available.

We are open:
– Tuesday 6pm-10pm – Mixed Darts
– Thursday 1pm-4pm – Moonshot Euchre
– Fridays 2pm-6pm
– Saturdays 1pm-5pm

Friday Night Meals - Honey Garlic Chicken

On Friday October 23 we had our Honey Garlic Chicken dinner.

You had your choice of Honey Garlic chicken or Chicken cooked in chicken gravy for the main course, served with mashed potatoes, mixed beans and a roll with butter. It was all topped off with your choice of honey garlic sauce or chicken gravy.

We served 95 meals and from all accounts it was a hit.

Desserts include three different types of cheesecakes and a special treat of vanilla cupcakes, being displayed on a cup cake tree.

Next week we are having meat loaf. More on that will be posted soon.

The 2026 Poppy Campaign is now on from October 24, until November 11. If you see a member poppy tagging or a cadet, especially on the weekends, please stop by to say hi.

As many may have noticed, we have cadets poppy tagging in Grafton today.

This year we have cadets from the 598 Sabre Squadron.

They will be stopping at noon and attending St. Georges Church for a warm lunch and drink.

Thank you St. Georges Church.

If you happen to see one today at a store in Grafton or one of the next two Saturday's, please stop and say hi.

First Poppy of 2026 Poppy Campaign

The Poppy Campaign dates this year are Saturday October 24th to Wednesday November 11th, 2026.

Our first Poppy of 2026 Poppy Campaign goes to Mayor of Alnwick/Haldimand Township John Logel, presented by Grafton Legion Br. 580 Sgt-at-Arms Scott Martin.

Please watch for street canvassing (poppy tagging) and we will be placing our Poppy Boxes into the stores that are able to accept them.

Monthly 50/50 draw - October 2026

The 50/50 draw for October has started and will be drawn on Friday October 30 at 5pm, during our Friday Night Meals.

Currently the prize amount sits at $650.00.

Only 1 week left.

Tickets are available at the bar or when Sharon comes around for our weekly meat draws during Friday Night Meals.

Sharon will be here on Sunday when we have our live entertainment.

2026 Annual Poppy Campaign

Currently at the Branch there is a signup sheet to participate in this years Poppy Campaign in the Club Room. The Poppy Campaign runs from Saturday October 24 to Wednesday November 11.

When you are in please review the Poppy Campaign sign-up sheet to assist in this years Campaign. You can sign up for the location and duration that works for your, but most pick to be out for 2 hours.

Current locations are:
– Baltimore Johns Bar & Grill
– Grafton Co-op
– Lass and Ladle Restaurant
– Grafton Esso Gas Station
– Grafton Pharmacy
– Grafton Variety
– Scenery Drive Restaurant on Hwy 45 and Centreton Road.
