Hi, I’m Gareth, a local writer, poet and journalist, and the person behind Street Verses. I take my vintage typewriter out into the world and write poems for people I meet along the way. Sometimes they’re funny, sometimes heartfelt, but every poem is written especially for the person sitting across from me.

Meet Your Speakers - Mike Allan

Mike Allan is an online marketing consultant who helps organizations align their digital content with the people they want to reach. At The Gatehouse, he shares these skills as chair of the Marketing Working Group, supporting the website and outreach efforts that connect survivors and supporters to vital resources.

Alongside his professional contribution, Mike has been an active volunteer and peer facilitator. He believes deeply in the power of community, and is committed to creating safe spaces where survivors can find strength and support.

Serving on the Board is a way for Mike to give back to a place that has profoundly shaped his own journey, and to help ensure The Gatehouse continues to be a source of hope and healing for others.

Thank you to Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation for their kind words and to everyone who came out to support The Walk To End Su***de and The Better Together Su***de Loss Support Group ❤️

Last month, Tattoos4Trauma hosted a Walk to End Su***de, which raised awareness about mental health and helped build a support system for those in need and/or impacted by su***de in our community.

We are pleased to announce that together, our community raised an incredible $7,000 for Northumberland Hills Hospital Community Mental Health Services, with proceeds directed toward the development and implementation of a peer-led su***de loss survivor support program for individuals and families in our region.

Thank you T4T for coordinating this important walk and to all the attendees who participated and showed their support!
