Calgary First Responders Rodeo Association

Calgary First Responders Rodeo Association Join us for action-packed rodeo thrills, family fun, and community! Rodeo action kicks off at 1:00 PM. Tickets are available at the gate on the day of the rodeo.

Welcome to Calgary First Responders Rodeo (formerly the Calgary Police Rodeo) Since '83, we celebrate our western heritage while raising funds for Missing Children Society of Canada. In addition to the rodeo, this family-orientated event includes a Children's Carnival, exhibitions, concessions and a beverage garden. In the evening, cowboys and adult spectators enjoy a barn dance featuring country music entertainment. The Airdrie rodeo grounds are open at 8:00 AM on Saturday morning for our rodeo fans and campers. During the day you will be able to visit the beverage gardens, unique vendor displays and the free children's carnival. The Airdrie Rodeo Grounds are five miles west of Airdrie on Highway 567.

Howdy competitors, committee, volunteers and fans of the 2026 Calgary First Responders Rodeo.

What a great day of 6 hours of non-stop action from the smallest to the tallest.

Shots are online for you but this year we are taking a slightly different approach. Previously photos have been donated but this year we are doing it differently. We are charging $10 per photo with proceeds being donated back to CFFR.

We had three different professional rodeo photographers contributing their time to capture this year’s event. A typical rodeo photographer requires 2-3 hours of post edit per hour of action. So in this case that's 12 - 18 hours to go thru the shots, crop, etc. So this helps value their time while still supporting the charity.

Because we had three photographers operating independently, it's possible that
some photos may be slightly out of order. So dig thru and see what you find.

Hopefully we caught everyone. If we missed you or your ride or run we apologize and we’ll do our best to get you next year!

Congrats to everyone who competed and hats off to an amazing committee!

If you haven't already, be sure to follow your photographers online:

Here is another event for the Jr. cowfolk, the up and coming cowboys and cowgirls. Kids Calf Scramble is a youth event, 3 participants with a minimum of 1 female per team.
Calf scramble is a popular rodeo event where youths (7-12) compete in an arena to catch calves, retrieve ribbons.
The Setup: A specific number of calves are released into an arena with a smaller number of participants to make the chase challenging and exciting.
The Catch: At the drop of a hat or the announcer's signal, participants run to catch a calf, many smaller rodeos, Jr. participants simply scramble to untie or pull a ribbon off a calf's tail.
4 spots remaining for teams. This event is for first responders immediate or retired family, get a team in and represent!!!!...Ok for real!, get signed up and have such a fun and amazing experience and great rodeo dirt time!! www.cfrr.ca- registration
