Condolence Message

Dear Community Members,

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Nafisha Haq, beloved wife of Geologist Abdul Monem Anam, at 1:51 AM Today.

"Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un"

She had been battling cancer for the past few months. She was a school teacher and had been a long-time resident of Calgary.

Janaza prayer will be held Today Sun October 11, 2026 after Doher prayer 2:00PM @ Akram Jomaa Islamic Centre.

Burial will take place at Calgary Muslim Cemetery in Cochrane, 260040 Mountain Ridge Pl, Cochrane AB T4C 0B7

May Allah (SWT) forgive her, grant her Jannatul Ferdous, and give her family and loved ones the strength and patience to bear this tremendous loss. Our heartfelt condolences and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult time. Ameen.

The Bangladesh Canada Association of Calgary (BCAOC) would like to share a few important reminders about next week's consular services at the Bangladesh Centre.

Important Reminders

• Please arrive on time according to your scheduled appointment/service requirements.

• Bring all required documents, forms, and supporting paperwork for your requested service.

• Please bring original documents and copies where required.

• Keep your payment method and required fees ready.

• Volunteers will be available to assist with general guidance.

• For postal delivery: prepaid, self-addressed return envelope with tracking number.

• Please be patient and respectful toward the consular officials, volunteers, and other community members, as we expect a large number of people to attend.

We kindly request everyone to cooperate with the volunteers and follow the instructions provided by the Bangladesh High Commission and the event coordinators.
