Not long ago, simple moments like playing at the splashpad on a hot summer day felt out of reach.
Born with scoliosis, even sitting, walking and playing were exhausting and painful. Last spring, Alex and his mom travelled from New Brunswick to receive specialized care. After months of treatment, including halo traction and multiple surgeries, his life changed completely.
Today, at almost 4 years old, Alex is laughing, running and enjoying every moment of summer, just like any child should.
