Calgary spring weather strikes again! Unfortunately, we are 100% packed up already and not able to groom any of this amazing snow. Where was the snow in January?

Thanks again for everyone’s support this year! We have an amazing crew of volunteers that put in countless hours to make the most of the snow that we get in Calgary and create great cross country skiing in the middle of the city. If you enjoyed skiing at Confederation this year and haven’t got a chance to get your trail pass yet it’s not too late. Link is below. Thank you for your support! Groomed the skate lanes and set some new track on the low Snow route. Conditions are generally quite good where it was groomed.

Monday will be the last day for skiing at Confederation Park with the latest warm weather coming. The snow we have will not last long as the days are longer, and the sun is strong. Thanks for a great Season and we hope you enjoyed skiing at Confederation Park. Foothills Nordic takes great pride providing great skiing in the middle of Calgary. Please don't forget to get your trail pass for the season if you haven't got a chance to do so yet! It will help Foothills ensure that we can continue grooming long into the future and keep improving the trails Year on year!

Driving range was rolled in track set last night with excellent results and great coverage. Sunday morning, the purple, green and orange trails were groomed and track set. Conditions are excellent, but there are a few spot spots where grass is showing especially on yellow and one hill on green.

All trails were rolled/groomed last night and yellow and blue trails were groomed and trackset this morning with rest hopefully trackset tonight. Skiing is excellent! Enjoy and don’t forget to get your trail pass to support great skiing right in Calgary!

More snow farming today on blue/green and in the driving range. It was all groomed afterwards as well as trackset in places. Purple was also groomed and trackset. The trails are thin in places due to the windy conditions when the snow fell so caution is advised. The good news is is that most of the time it's just grass which is perfectly fine.

Be sure to get your trail pass to support the continued grooming at Confed.

Snow farmers have been out everyday putting more snow on the trails and then the grooming team has been grooming it in with tracks where they have farmed. More was done yesterday and last night. If you see them out there tiday make sure you stop and thank them!

All trails have been groomed in the last couple of days. The new snow is thin in places as the wind blew it off the trails. No tracks yet but will be in the coming days as the team farms snow onto the trails. Hazards exists in some spots where the trail was ice or where the snow is thin.

Please don’t forgot to get your trail pass if you haven’t gotten one this season. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Finally some snow! Team is out rolling new snow now and will again after the storm is done. We are keeping the parking lot closed until it is plowed. Please hold tight until later today/tonight to allow team to roll the trails. Because of the wind and the fact that most trails were down to grass or ice, conditions will still be marginal in most places until some snow farming can be done.

Lots of snow farming done yesterday by the team and two groomers were out last night to grooming all in to perfection. Conditions are great right now on the trails that have been groomed and still farmed, which are most of them. Enjoy the great skiing in the city and be sure to think of volunteer if you see them out working!! don’t forget your trail fee fees to support the continued grooming at Confederation Park!
