One At A Time Rescue An organization focusing primarily on orphan animals. We provide each animal the love and care necessary to successfully be adopted into a loving home.

Please note we are a foster based rescue and do not have a physical shelter building. One At A Time Rescue started with one crazy cat lady and one crazy dog lady who will go to the ends of the earth to help animals in need. That's how all rescues begin right? But what makes OAAT so special? We focus mainly on orphaned kittens and puppies. Providing that love and nurturing that normally kittens and puppies would receive from their mothers.

🚨 Breaking News: Now at Brandon PetSmart! 🚨

Lavatera and Petunia have officially moved into Brandon PetSmart after not getting much interest — and they’re hoping that being out where people can meet them will help them finally find their families.

These two sweet girls are fun, playful, and so ready for someone to fall in love with them. If you’re in the area, please stop by PetSmart and say hello. You might just meet your new best friend.

Friendly reminder: To be approved to adopt, all pets in the home must be spayed/neutered and current on vaccines.

Blayze (aka Nugget) — our adorable 5‑month‑old mixed‑breed sweetheart is still searching for her forever family.

This little girl is the full package:

• Good with cats
• Good with dogs
• Good with kids
• Crate trained
• 99% potty trained
• Fully vaccinated

Blayze can be a tiny bit shy when meeting new people, but once she warms up, she becomes your little shadow. She loves spending her days bouncing between playtime with her foster dog siblings and cuddle sessions with her foster parents. She’s also recently discovered that she loves swimming — this girl is a water baby through and through.

She’s incredibly smart, learns quickly, and has wonderful manners with the cats. She understands which ones want to interact and which ones prefer their space. With kids, she may be shy at first, but once she feels comfortable, she’s all in for playtime and zooming around the yard.

Blayze truly is the sweetest little girl — affectionate, gentle, playful, and full of love. She adores kisses, cuddles, and being someone’s best friend.

This 8-week-old mixed breed girl is looking for her forever home, and she comes with a lot of personality (maybe a little too much, but we love her for it).

😈 …who is also absolutely up to something at all times.
🏠 Working on her house training like the ambitious young lady she is.
🐾 Knows “sit” — most of the time. She’s getting there.

Scout needs someone with patience, a sense of humor, and ideally furniture they’re not too attached to yet. In return, she will give you maximum softness, endless entertainment, and a shadow who follows you everywhere.

Ember is a true survivor. After undergoing surgery to correct her megaesophagus, she hasn’t let anything slow her down. In fact, she’s sweeter than ever, with an even bigger whole-body wag and an endless supply of love to give.

While her surgery has been life-changing, Ember may always require her meals to be fed in a specific way. Because of this, it is essential that potential adopters meet with both Ember and her foster mom to discuss her ongoing needs and ensure the best possible fit.

But don’t let that intimidate you. Ember is a happy, playful, affectionate little pup who brings joy, laughter, and love wherever she goes. She adores cuddles, thrives on companionship, and comes complete with an adorable obsession with her stuffed duck. 🦆❤️
