One At A Time Rescue An organization focusing primarily on orphan animals. We provide each animal the love and care necessary to successfully be adopted into a loving home.

Please note we are a foster based rescue and do not have a physical shelter building. One At A Time Rescue started with one crazy cat lady and one crazy dog lady who will go to the ends of the earth to help animals in need. That's how all rescues begin right? But what makes OAAT so special? We focus mainly on orphaned kittens and puppies. Providing that love and nurturing that normally kittens and puppies would receive from their mothers.

Ivra settled into her foster home almost instantly, showing off her gentle nature and easygoing personality. She gets along wonderfully with other cats and would fit beautifully into just about any home — she’s adaptable, friendly, and full of quiet charm.

You know Melissa — the one who adopted out dogs like it was her entire personality.
Who, just like Shannon, lived, ate, and breathed everything dog.

Well… like they all eventually do… she crossed over to the cat side.😉

She trapped a tiny kitten living under a shed, scooped her up, and decided that asking for forgiveness was easier than asking for permission. 🙄

Tina is a sweet little 10‑week‑old girl who has slowly embraced her new life indoors. She loves other cats, and while she’ll be shy at first, once she settles in she’ll crawl all over you like she’s known you forever.

She’s vetted, healthy, and officially ready to start her new life as a house kitty — thanks to Melissa’s “I’ll just take her home and deal with the consequences later” approach.

Milo and Maggie were found crying in the bush — sick, starving, and absolutely defeated.

Fast forward a short time, and look at them now. A little medication, proper nourishment, and a whole lot of love can work miracles.

These two tiny fighters have their recheck next week, and if all goes well, they’ll be ready for adoption right after.

From abandoned to adored… their story is just getting started.

Hi everyone! My name is Freya, and I’m an 8‑week‑old shepherd mix with the sweetest little personality. I love cuddling with absolutely anyone who will let me — humans, puppies, kitties… I’m not picky. If you’ve got arms, I’ve got snuggles. 💕

I’m a playful girl who enjoys adventures both inside and outside. Toys are my absolute favourite, especially the squeaky ones — I take my squeak‑toy duties very seriously. 😄

I’m great in a crate, I enjoy car rides, and even though I’m tiny right now, I’ll grow into a lovely medium‑sized dog. Perfect for couch snuggles and outdoor fun.

🐾 CHIP — 7 Weeks Old & Ready for His Forever Home! 🐾

Chip is the perfect blend of playful energy and soft, snuggly sweetness. He loves wrestling with his brother, exploring every corner he can find, and getting into typical puppy mischief — but once he’s tired out, he’s happiest curled up with his people for cuddles. ❤️

He’s wonderfully social and loves everyone he meets. Chip is doing great with cats and other dogs, and he’s always excited to make a new friend.

At just 7 weeks old, Chip is still learning all about the world. He’s working on puppy pads and outdoor potty breaks, but he’s definitely still having baby‑puppy accidents — totally normal for his age.

Chip and his brother Figgy are believed to be Shepherd mixes. Breed mix and adult size are our best estimates.

If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate little guy who can keep up with playtime and melt into your arms, Chip might be your perfect match. 🐾❤️

🐾 BRYN — 12 Weeks Old & Ready for Her Forever Home! ✨

Confident, curious, and always ready for the next adventure — Bryn is our little go‑getter with a huge personality and an even bigger love for people.

She’s doing amazing with her leash training and figured it out in no time. Her recall is wonderful, she’s extremely food‑motivated, and she loves to snuggle when the excitement settles.

Bryn had a trip to the farm today and absolutely thrived with the freedom to run, explore, and take in all the new sights and smells.

We haven’t met her parents, but Husky × Shepherd is our best guess. Breed mix and adult size are estimates.

If you’re looking for a smart, outgoing, adventurous pup who will keep you laughing and fill your home with joy, Bryn might be your girl.
