One At A Time Rescue An organization focusing primarily on orphan animals. We provide each animal the love and care necessary to successfully be adopted into a loving home.

Please note we are a foster based rescue and do not have a physical shelter building. One At A Time Rescue started with one crazy cat lady and one crazy dog lady who will go to the ends of the earth to help animals in need. That's how all rescues begin right? But what makes OAAT so special? We focus mainly on orphaned kittens and puppies. Providing that love and nurturing that normally kittens and puppies would receive from their mothers.

Meet Milo and Luna, our adorable 8 week‑old mixed‑breed puppies looking for their forever families.
We didn’t meet mom or dad, so their breed and adult size are unknown — but their personalities are already shining.

Milo is a calm, easygoing little guy who loves being close to his people. He’s incredibly sweet, cuddly, and happiest relaxing by your side, though he still enjoys playtime with his sister and foster sister when the fun starts.

Luna is playful, curious, and full of adventurous energy. She loves people, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and is always ready to explore — but she also has the softest snuggly side when it’s time to settle in.

Both puppies are doing great with training pads and are trying their best to make it outside to p*e. They love toys, share beautifully with each other and other dogs, and have such loving, social personalities.

These two are full of sweetness, fun, and cuddles — and they’re so ready to bring joy to their forever homes.

This 8-week-old mixed breed girl is looking for her forever home, and she comes with a lot of personality (maybe a little too much, but we love her for it).

Scout is:
✨ Impossibly soft - especially those ears and that face. You will not be able to stop touching them.
😇 Sweet, loving, and genuinely a good girl…
😈 …who is also absolutely up to something at all times.
🏠 Working on her house training like the ambitious young lady she is.
🐾 Knows “sit” — most of the time. She’s getting there.

Scout needs someone with patience, a sense of humor, and ideally furniture they’re not too attached to yet. In return, she will give you maximum softness, endless entertainment, and a shadow who follows you everywhere.

Meet Baby Benny — our adorable 6‑week‑old mixed‑breed puppy who is already stealing hearts everywhere he goes.

Benny is so smart for his age. His potty training is going incredibly well — he’ll even let you know when he wants to go outside. He loves sleeping in his kennel or any dark, cozy little nook he can find. When he’s tired, he simply toddles off to his kennel and puts himself to bed like the sweetest little gentleman.

This boy loves to explore his surroundings, soak up pets and cuddles from absolutely everyone, and be part of whatever is going on. He’s curious, affectionate, gentle, and full of that perfect baby‑puppy charm.

If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly little boy who’s off to an amazing start, Benny might be your perfect match.

Come meet some of our adorable adoptable pups, grab a hotdog, try your luck on our 50/50 draw, and help us continue providing lifesaving care to animals in need.

Some goodbyes are harder than others, and this is definitely one of them.

As Dr. Liana Mawer begins her well-earned retirement, we want to take a moment to express just how much she has meant to One At a Time Rescue. Over the years, Dr. Mawer has been so much more than a veterinarian to us. She has been a trusted partner, an advocate for animals, and someone we could always count on when our rescues needed help the most.

Together, we have helped countless animals receive the care they needed to go on and find loving homes. Every life saved has been made possible because of people like Dr. Mawer, who never lost sight of the importance of compassion and kindness.

We also want to recognize two very special members of her team, Carol and Jonathan. Thank you for always welcoming us, answering our endless questions, fitting us into busy schedules, and caring for our animals as if they were your own. Your kindness, patience, and support have meant more than you know.

While we are heartbroken to lose such an important veterinary partnership, we are incredibly grateful for the years we have shared and the lives we have changed together. The entire One At a Time Rescue family has been blessed to work alongside such amazing people.

Dr. Mawer, Carol, and Jonathan—thank you for everything. Thank you for the care, the compassion, the laughter, the support, and for always being there when we needed you. You have left paw prints on the hearts of so many animals, adopters, volunteers, and rescue partners.

We wish you all the very best in this next chapter. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. ❤️🐾
