Students Katrina & Lexi Niblett were congratulated by Arnprior Rotary President Gerhard Peters after returning from RYLA Camp in May.

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) is an intensive leadership experience for youth ages 15–17. Participants are selected and sponsored by Rotary clubs and come together for a weekend of leadership development, learning, and connection.

Reach out if you know of a local student who might be interested to attending in May 2027!!

This and other community projects are made possible by fundraising with Pembroke Delta Bingo.

July is Rotary Maternal and Child Health Month
As we begin a new Rotary year under Rotary International’s inspiring theme, Creating Lasting Impact, we also recognize July as Maternal and Child Health Month—one of Rotary’s seven Areas of Focus.

Every mother deserves access to safe pregnancy and childbirth. Every child deserves the opportunity to grow up healthy, protected, and given the best possible start in life.

Around the world, Rotary clubs are helping make this a reality by supporting maternal healthcare, childhood immunization program, nutrition initiatives, clean water and sanitation projects, healthcare training, and access to quality medical services.

Arnprior Rotary is proud to be a part of a Rotary Global Grant project in Maringa, Brazil. This will increase the capacity at a local clinic so it can handle 3,300 to 4,000 more patients a year.

These are not just healthcare projects—they are investments in stronger families, healthier communities, and brighter futures.

Arnprior Rotary is proud to be part of a global network of more than 1.4 million Rotarians who believe that even the smallest act of service can create lasting change.

Arnprior Rotary Mad Duck Race Draw moved to Nick Smith Centre Canada Day, 2pm

Due to the move from Hydro Park to the Nick Smith Centre due to concerns about the heat & possibility of thunderstorms, the Mad Duck Race will also move.

We still have tickets left, so get them for $10 each from Rotarians on Canada Day at the Nick Smith Centre starting at 9am.

Arnprior Rotary supports our community in many ways including a recent donation to the A&D NeighbourLink Fountain. The funds are to be used for both Staff Training and to bring in outside Facilitators to lead their in house programs.

The following poem hits the mark of which both they and we subscribe to:

The Mountain

If the mountain seems too big today
then climb a hill instead;
If morning brings you sadness
it’s okay to stay in bed.
If the day ahead feels heavy and your plans feel like a curse,
There’s no shame in rearranging,
don’t make yourself feel worse.
If a shower stings like needles
and a bath feels like you’ll drown;
If you haven’t washed your hair for days,
don’t throw away your crown!
A day is not a lifetime.
A rest is not defeat.
Don’t think of it as failure,
Just a quiet, kind retreat.
It’s okay to take a moment
From an anxious, fractured mind.
The world will not stop turning
While you get realigned!
The mountain will still be there
When you want to try again
You can climb it in your own time,
Just love yourself till then!
