ABCCI Charts New Strategic Course at Inaugural Reception

The Australia-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ABCCI) recently hosted its Inaugural Networking Reception, marking a transformative milestone for bilateral commerce in the Indo-Pacific.

Under the leadership of our newly elected President, M. Maksud, we are moving beyond traditional trade silos. Our new mandate is clear: be member-centric, proactive, and innovation-led.

🔹 Policy Certainty: Keynote speaker Ambassador Shahed Akhtar provided a major boost to investor confidence, reaffirming Australia’s commitment to maintaining preferential tariff benefits for Bangladesh well beyond the 2026 LDC graduation.
🔹 Strategic Sectors: Dialogue focused on three future-ready pillars: Energy & Mineral Security, Knowledge Transfer (Agritech & Digital), and Human Capital development.
