Strengthening Gender-Responsive Leadership and Practice

Representing Activista Cox’s Bazar, Shahrukh Karim and Sadia Akter participated in the two-day training on “Gender Mainstreaming, the History of Gender Revolution, and the Foundations of Feminism,” organised by ActionAid Bangladesh on 29–30 September 2026 in Cox’s Bazar.

The training provided an opportunity to deepen our understanding of gender mainstreaming, feminist perspectives, gender-responsive programming, and the historical movements for gender equality, while connecting these concepts with practical approaches for development and humanitarian work.

As youth activists, we believe that meaningful change requires not only awareness, but also the ability to translate learning into inclusive action, stronger participation, and gender-responsive leadership.

Grateful to ActionAid Bangladesh and the facilitator Sanaiyya Faheem Ansari for creating a valuable space for learning, reflection and experience sharing.

Learning. Reflecting. Challenging. Acting for Gender Equality.
