It wouldn’t be a Bayside celebration without a little support from around the harbour! 🌊⛵🌸

A huge thank you to Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron (RQYS) and d’Albora East Coast Marina for supporting the Bayside Spring Festival 2026 and helping us bring three fantastic days to George Clayton Park.

Both are such familiar parts of our local waterfront, welcoming boats, visitors and locals to Manly and contributing to the wonderful lifestyle we’re lucky to enjoy here on the Bay. 💛

We’re incredibly grateful to have two of our local harbour neighbours supporting an event that brings our community together.

Thank you RQYS and d’Albora East Coast Marina for helping us make this year’s festival possible! 🙌🌸

This weekend we have FREE GREEN WASTE DROP OFF at the resource recovery centres! 🌳

Tidy up your yard, prepare for storm season or get your garden started knowing you can dispose of the following green waste at no cost.

Acceptable green waste includes:
🌿 Branches
🌿 Grass clippings
🌿 Loose bark
🌿 Palms fronds
🌿 Pruning from shrubs, trees and weeds

📆 Saturday 8th & Sunday 9th August
⏰ 6.30am to 5.45pm
📌 728 Tilley Road, Chandler is the closest location to us but it's available at all 4 resource recovery centres.

Outside of these dates you can use your waste voucher or green waste recycling bin to dispose of garden waste. ♻️

Also, there is a Brisbane Bin and Recycling App that allows you to track bin collection dates, set up reminder notifications, learn more about waste disposal and provides tips & tricks as an additional resource.

🎬🐉 Personally, I can't wait for another movie night under the stars with the kids!

This weekend, Films on the Field returns to Bayside United FC with the support of Hendlay Real Estate, and will be screening the live-action How to Train Your Dragon.

Pack your picnic rug, camp chairs and a warm blanket, then settle in for a fantastic evening with family and friends! There'll be plenty of delicious food available, including pizza, the Bayside United canteen, OMG Decadent Donuts, fresh popcorn from the Manly West State School P&C and glow sticks from the Lota State School P&C. 🍩🍿
