It has been another busy week, with both outreach nights proving demanding as many people required assistance.

Although there was no time for photos, everyone enjoyed delicious food provided by our friends at The Living Room Wollongong. Our hampers were filled with items from OzHarvest and the fantastic Top Shop Kiama.

Thank you to Hannah for baking cupcakes and brownies for dessert.

Thank you to Julie, Helen, and Steph for your generous donations of warm clothes, beanies, scarves, and blankets. We also extend our gratitude to June for the financial contribution made earlier in the week.

A special thank you to our wonderful team of volunteers for everything you do each week. 🩵

💙 Men’s Health Week | It’s Time to Check In

Being strong is not about carrying everything on your own.

This Men's Health Week, take a moment to check in with yourself—and with the men around you.

Health is not just about physical fitness. It is also about:
✅ Mental wellbeing
✅ Sleep and stress management
✅ Regular health checks
✅ Staying connected with family and friends
✅ Asking for help when you need it

Too often, men put their own health last while looking after everyone else.

A simple conversation, a doctor's appointment, a walk with a mate or taking time to rest can make a real difference.

💬 Ask the question:
"How are you really doing?"

You never know how much someone might need to hear it.

Let's work together to break the stigma, start conversations and support the men in our lives to live healthier, happier lives.

Our Thursday night community outreach was busy, with many people lining up to enjoy a delicious meal of curry chicken, rice, and naan bread, followed by cake. Each person also received a fresh food hamper and a selection of vegetables.

We extend our thanks to the individual who stopped by with generous donations of clothing and blankets. We are also grateful to Ash Trading for their financial contribution, as well as our regular supporters Oz Harvest and Baked Oak Flats. Thank you to CWA Keiraville for their kind donation.

It was wonderful to see familiar faces return and to reconnect, and equally special to spend time yarning with a local Elder.

Finally, thank you to our amazing team for another week of supporting our community. 🩵

Despite the heavy rain tonight, our dedicated team worked tirelessly to support the community by setting up outreach and serving those in need. Amidst the evening’s challenges, everyone we served was able to select clothing, linen, and blankets to help stay warm and comfortable.

We served up delicious artisan lasagne, generously provided by the Top Shop Kiama, accompanied by a fresh bread roll donated by Baked Oak Flats and followed by a sweet dessert. Everyone in attendance also received a fresh food hamper, and a selection of vegetables. Thank you to Sharon for cooking the lasagnes for tonight.

We are deeply grateful for the ongoing support and generous donors. Your contributions truly make a difference.

Stay safe, dry, and warm, and we look forward to seeing everyone next week. 🩵

Our Tuesday night community outreach turned out to be quite busy despite the wet weather. Our team came together to serve a soul-warming meal that lifted everyone’s spirits. The menu featured delicious meat pies and sweet potato mash, followed by stewed apples topped with creamy Greek yogurt.

A huge thank you goes out to Baked Oak Flats for supplying us with those beautiful pies. They were an absolute hit, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed them.

Throughout the evening, many friends took advantage of the opportunity to pick up clothing, quilts, blankets, and various household items. This was all made possible thanks to the kindness of those who donated. Your contributions make a real difference and help us support our community in meaningful ways.

Thank you again to everyone who played a part—whether you braved the rain, donated items, or helped serve food. Your involvement and care continue to strengthen our outreach. 🩵

This week has been both busy and truly heartwarming, as we continue to receive incredible support from our Kind Hearts community. Thank you to everyone who donated clothing, linen, shoes, and household items—your generosity has made a real difference to those in need. We are also deeply grateful to Ash Trading and The Leftards for their vital financial contributions, which help us sustain and expand our outreach.

A special thank you goes to our friends from The Living Room Wollongong, who provided our Thursday night meal for outreach. We sincerely appreciate that, even with a sold-out event that evening, you still found a way to prepare and donate food for our efforts. Your commitment to supporting our community is truly inspiring. 👏👏👏

Lastly, we want to mention our remarkable team of volunteers. This week was National Volunteers Week, and we are genuinely blessed at Kind Hearts to have such an inspiring, dedicated, and caring team. It is an honour to stand alongside you as we work together to make a difference in our community for those in need. Together, we are building a more compassionate and supportive community. 🩵

Another successful Tuesday night community outreach. Our dedicated team came together and assisted around 40 friends in need, offering not only support but also some delicious food. We served up chicken schnitzels, crispy chips, and a vibrant vegetable and couscous medley. To top it off, everyone enjoyed pancakes paired with a sweet berry coulis and cream, yummo!

In addition to the outreach, our team was busy picking up donations. I’d like to give a special shout-out to Karin, whose generosity was truly wonderful. Karin donated household items, blankets, and clothes to help those facing tough times. These items will be made available during our upcoming Thursday night outreach, ensuring that more friends in need have access to essentials.

Thank you to everyone who contributed and made this outreach possible. Our collective efforts are making a real difference. 🩵

Another busy outreach week, and the demand keeps growing. During last night's outreach, despite the rain, we were fortunate that the weather eased while our team was out serving the community.

Last night we served over 80 friends a warm meal, featuring slow-cooked savoury mince, followed by cookies, cakes, and mango and coconut chia pudding.

We distributed 60 food hampers to those in need and handed out approximately 500kgs of rescued food, including vegetables, bread, and baked goods.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who donated to us this week: OzHarvest, Cruizin Red Cafe, Bake Oak Flats, and Diane. A special thanks as well to Ash Tobaconnist and Ricky for their kind donations.

We are grateful and thankful to our amazing team for all that they have done. Your efforts and dedication are truly appreciated. 🩵
