STALLHOLDER EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST – IWHC CHRISTMAS MARKETS!

Do you have a small business or make beautiful products that you’d love to share with our community?

The Illawarra Women’s Health Centre is calling for expressions of interest from stallholders for our upcoming Christmas Outdoor Markets!

There is No charge for stalls!

We’re keen to hear from women selling handmade gifts, jewellery, arts and crafts, clothing, homewares, festive goodies and other unique products.

Women should be able to walk home, go out with friends and live without fear of violence or harassment.

Join us for Reclaim the Night on Thursday, October 29, to speak out against gender-based violence and support women who have experienced it.

Meet at Andrew Lysaght Park, east of WIN Stadium, from 6.15pm. The march to Wollongong Lighthouse starts at 6.45pm.

A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO ROBYN PARKINSON!

We are so incredibly proud of our wonderful Weavers volunteer, Robyn Parkinson, who was nominated for Volunteer of the Year at The Shellharbour Club Community Awards and made it into the final three!

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the awards event to celebrate Robyn and the amazing contribution she makes to our community.

Although Robyn didn’t take home the award this time, being recognised as one of the top three nominees is an incredible achievement, and so very well deserved!

Through her involvement with our Weavers program, Robyn makes a meaningful difference in the lives of women who are carers for people living with dementia, helping to create a supportive space where women can connect, share experiences and feel less alone.

Robyn, thank you for the time, care, compassion and heart you give to others. We are so lucky to have you as part of our Illawarra Women’s Health Centre community!

Whether you’ve been connected to the Centre for many years or have only recently found us, you are part of our story.

We’re here to connect women with support, information and services to help navigate life’s challenges.

Here’s what’s happening at the Centre:

SASSI provides a free outreach service at the Centre, offering housing support, assistance with housing forms, housing and rental information, help with applications and direct referrals.

No appointment needed – just drop in!

Financial Counselling
Experiencing financial difficulty? Our free, personalised, independent and confidential face-to-face financial counselling service provides women with support to explore their options and work towards greater financial wellbeing.

Vinnies Van
The Vinnies Van visits us every week, providing free meals and snacks, blankets, toiletries, hot beverages and, most importantly, companionship and referrals for women in our community.
