BFS Children's Services Not-for-profit. BFS Children's Services have served children and families with distinction since 1981.

We enrich the lives and minds of children and families in their communities. Big Fat Smile is a not-for-profit organisation that plays an important part in the lives of thousands of children and families. With a network of 26 Community Preschools, 15 Fun Clubs (out of school hours care), and a portfolio of community and inclusion programs across Australia. We focus on delivering the best possible staffing ratios, highly qualified teachers and centre staff, play environments that nurture children and facilitate their creative expression, and world-class early education and care. We know you value the ā€˜BIGā€™ little extras like meals in long day care, nappies, sunscreen, not paying for public holidays and creative programs.

At BFS Children's Services we believe it is important that all children in NSW have the right to access high-quality preschool education regardless of the setting, where they live or their family circumstances.

Families expect their child's service to have experienced teachers, stable educator relationships, strong governance and quality learning programs.

We are joining fellow leading not-for-profit providers to advocate for a fair funding system that supports the ongoing investment in quality preschool provision, regardless of the setting, in NSW.

BFS Children's Services welcomed the City of Wollongong team to our head office to pack free goodie bags for every child attending the Cr Tania Brown Lord Mayor's School Starters Picnic on 25 October.

The free event supports 2027 school starters and their families, bringing together information, resources and local services to help make the transition to school easier and support families on their journey to starting school. This year is especially significant as we celebrate 20 years of the School Starters Picnic!
