Card Games at the HOPE Hub!

Come along for a relaxed morning at the Hub with card games, a few laughs and a chance to spend some time together. Whether you’re keen for a game, bringing a friend, or just feel like dropping in for a coffee and a chat, you’re very welcome.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸, we want to acknowledge the many people who continue to give their time, energy and care to HOPE Whyalla and the broader community.

Whether it is helping out at the HOPE Hub on Tuesdays during school terms, baking homemade cookies, having conversations, making what we think is pretty great coffee, gardening at the Orchard, supporting community barbecues and events or being part of HOPE action and leadership groups, these contributions all help strengthen connection and belonging across Whyalla.

We especially want to acknowledge some of our community volunteers who regularly help bring the HOPE Hub to life each week:

What a day at Wilson Park ☀️

Music playing, yoga mats on the grass, kids on the playground, sausages straight off the BBQ and plenty of chats along the way.

This one was put on by HOPE Whyalla's Conversations and Connections action group. Really great to see so many new faces and people come down, stay a while and just enjoy being out together.

Thanks to everyone who came along and share a snag and a chat with us 🤍

There’s something beautiful about sitting in the sun with good people and a bit of food. That’s what this is.

We’re putting on a free BBQ at Wilson Park, no agenda, no pressure, just a space to come together.

In addition to the BBQ, we’re also offering a free “Stretch and Breathe session” session before we eat, a gentle, feel good way to stretch, breathe and reset together. You can join in or simply sit back and enjoy the atmosphere.

Whether you feel like a chat, meeting someone new, or just being around others for a while, you’re welcome.

Bring yourself, bring the kids, bring a chair if you like, or just wander over.

We recently celebrated HOPE Whyalla Day at Norton Park, with families, children and community members coming together to take part in activities and enjoy the afternoon.

More than 300 people came through the park, creating a great atmosphere. Children were busy making and flying their own kites, the BBQ was on, and people spread out across the space enjoying the time together.

Conversations were happening throughout the park, with people sharing what they enjoy about Whyalla, what is working well, and what they would like to see more of in the future.

Days like this are a big part of how we spend time with community and stay connected to what matters locally🧡🤝
