This morning Wara Yindi Support Services had the privilege of meeting with Fiona from HIPPY Whyalla to discuss local services, early learning supports, and opportunities to strengthen outcomes for families in our region. Uniting Country SA

HIPPY (Home Interaction Program for Parents and Youngsters) is a free, home‑based early learning and parenting program that supports families to build confidence, connection, and school‑readiness.

🌟 We’re Hiring in Whyalla! Become a HIPPY Home Tutor 🌟

Uniting Country SA is looking for a caring, community‑minded person to join our HIPPY program as a Home Tutor. Perfect for parents or carers who want flexible work while supporting children’s learning.



What you’ll do:

• Work 15 hrs/week

• Support 10–15 families each year

• Enjoy school holiday breaks

• Commit to a two‑year program with each family

• Teach your own child at home while earning an income helping others



You’ll need:

• DHS Working with Children Check

• National Police Clearance

• Australian Driver’s Licence

• Willingness to visit families in their homes



How to apply:

Send a short letter telling us why you’re interested, the skills you bring, and the value you’d add to the HIPPY program. Include contact details for three referees.

Applications close Friday 13th February.
