🏐🏆 2026 WHYALLA VOLLEYBALL INVITATIONAL – WHAT A WEEKEND! 🏆🏐
What an absolutely incredible weekend of volleyball!
The 2026 Whyalla Volleyball Invitational was a HUGE success, welcoming 8 Men’s teams and 6 Women’s teams from across South Australi* to Whyalla for two action-packed days of competition, teamwork, sportsmanship and, most importantly, a shared love of volleyball. ❤️💙
From the very first serve on Saturday, every team came ready to fight for their place in the competition. We saw incredible rallies, huge saves, powerful hits, amazing teamwork and plenty of close games that kept everyone watching on the edge of their seats.
Every single team gave it their all, showcasing not only their skills on the court, but also the sportsmanship, friendship and community spirit that makes country tournaments so special.
Saturday was a fantastic reminder of just how fun, exciting and amazing country volleyball tournaments can really be. Teams fought hard throughout the day, supporting their teammates, challenging their opponents and creating an atmosphere that made the entire weekend one to remember.
By Sunday, the competition had well and truly heated up as we headed towards our finals! 🔥

❤️ AND NOW FOR THE BIGGEST THANK YOU… ❤️
To every single player, coach, umpire, supporter and volunteer who travelled to Whyalla to be part of this competition. THANK YOU!
Some of you travelled a long way to join us, and we truly appreciate every single person who made the journey.
Without all of you showing up, competing, supporting one another and embracing the spirit of the tournament, we simply couldn't put on an event like this. You are the reason this competition was such an incredible success.
A massive thank you also goes to our amazing sponsors:
❤️ Malcom McLeod
💙 West Whyalla Football Club
❤️ Intersport Whyalla
💙 Whyalla Recreation Centre – YMCA
Your generosity and continued support does not go unnoticed. Having local businesses and organisations behind events like ours makes such a massive difference, and we are incredibly grateful.
🍔 A HUGE THANK YOU TO EYRE PRODUCE! 🍔
Once again, Eyre Produce did an amazing job keeping our players, officials and supporters fed with delicious food across both days of the tournament.
Thank you for coming along and supporting our event again — we absolutely loved having you there!
❤️💙 AND FINALLY… OUR COMMITTEE! 💙❤️
A HUGE congratulations and an even bigger THANK YOU goes to our incredible Whyalla Volleyball Association committee.
So much work happens behind the scenes to make a tournament like this possible. There are countless hours of organising, planning, messaging, scheduling, setting up, problem-solving and making sure everything is ready before the first ball is even served.
A very special thank you goes to:
🌟 Ash Hall
🌟 Luke Howell
🌟 Kaila Head
🌟 Caity Tidbury
The amount of work you have all put in behind the scenes to make sure this competition ran as smoothly and successfully as possible has been incredible.
Seeing the courts full, teams competing, supporters cheering and everyone enjoying themselves made all of that hard work worthwhile.
🏐❤️ THAT’S A WRAP ON THE 2026 WHYALLA VOLLEYBALL INVITATIONAL! ❤️🏐
Congratulations again to TTGVA and Adelaide Druk on taking home our Women’s and Men’s championships, to our runners-up Whyalla Warriors and Lincoln Sharks, and to every single award recipient across the weekend.
But most importantly, congratulations to **every team that stepped onto the court and helped make this tournament what it was.**
Thank you for bringing your skills, your competitiveness, your sportsmanship and plenty of laughs to Whyalla.
We hope everyone travelling home has a safe journey, and we hope you leave Whyalla with some fantastic memories from the weekend.
From everyone at the Whyalla Volleyball Association…
THANK YOU FOR AN AMAZING WEEKEND! 🏐🏆❤️💙
We can't wait to welcome you all back again.
SEE YOU AT THE NEXT ONE! 👋🏐
